Sheri started scrapbooking “as we know it” in February 2001 after
the birth of her son. Prior to that, she had always purchased photo
albums with spots for journaling because the photos we take are only a
part of a bigger, much more wonderful story that needs to be told. After
the birth of her daughter in 2004, she saw more and more layouts at
2peas that were digital and decided to try some of the freebies out that
she had seen mentioned and it wasn’t long before she was hooked. She
still enjoys paper scrapping as well. Sheri’s style is eclectic showing
her love for variety, color, and the well placed element. One of her
goals is to make her layouts appear like a real paper layout would.
Sheri finds inspiration all around her, sometimes it’s an ad or a color
combination in a magazine. Other times it may be clothing items,
scrapbooking products, or even the perfect photo as a jumping off point.
Her favorite scrapbooking trick is to use digital brushes and stamps on
her paper layouts. Although she has not yet had any digital layouts
published, she has had a few paper layouts land in some magazines with
the highlight being Scenic Route Paper Co. featuring her layout in their
ad in the CK “Top 10” issue. Sheri likes fonts that “resemble being
handwritten or are clean and classic.” When she isn’t scrapping, Sheri
loves to spend time on the beach in the summer, going for walks with her
family, shopping and nights out with the girls or a night out with her
husband!!
