Kim has been scrapbooking for over
five years and has been exclusively digital for the last year. She
describes herself as a 'hard-core' paper scrapper who never thought
she'd go digital...then she proved herself wrong <smiles>! Kim's
scrapping style is very graphic inspired...but lately she finds herself
using accent brushes to add a bit of funk to her pages. When it comes to
inspiration...photos are her starting point. Kim is rarely inspired by
fashion or trends...but she loves photos and colors for inspiration. One
of her favorite tips is to use Virtual Photographer from Optik Verve
Labs on photos (http://www.optikvervelabs.com/)...she rarely creates a
layout without using the filters on the photos to help set a mood. <you
can download filters for free from the site> As a paper scrapper, Kim
had quite a few layouts published in Memory Makers magazine. Since
receiving an Honorable Mention in Creating Keepsakes' Hall of Fame with
a digital entry last spring, she's had several digi layouts published as
well. She has a layout due to be published in the December 2005 issue of
Creating Keepsakes magazine. Although she finds it very difficult to
choose a favorite font...Kim says that right now she is loving the fun
and funky 2peas font called Frappacino. When she's not scrapping, Kim
loves to read and takes every opportunity she can to enjoy a good book.
She has also found a new (and surprising) hobby.......working out! She
says that she is shocked over this new discovery and her enjoyment of
it!!!!
