Hollie was never a paper scrapper because she had always wanted to do her scrapping on the computer. In December of 2004, she stumbled on some digital scrapbooking sites and has been hooked since! Hollie tries really hard to convey the emotions of the layout through different varieties of styles, but usually always has the “less is more” approach on each layout. She says that she is easily inspired by a lots of different things such as, music, her family, church messages, special moments, and other scrappers. Hollies favorite trick is to customize her own drop shadows, she says it takes a lot of time, but is worth it in the end on those bulkier embellies. Hollie doesn’t have just ONE font that sticks out as a favorite, but she always uses a handwriting type font for journaling (Jayne Print right now) and either Arial or Century Gothic for dates. Scrapbooking is Hollie’s MAIN hobby, but she also likes photography (because it helps with the scrapping), making beaded jewelry and in-depth Bible study. She said she never really realized it in school, but she likes research—lol!! Although she hasn’t had any layouts published YET, she did have a photo published by Digital Artist Magazine, which was thrilling!
