In response to the question of how long she has been scrapping,
Heather said, “I’m not sure, LOL!” She scrapped a few pages in college
and a few more when her son was born five years ago, but not much more
until she discovered digital in 2005. Last year, she accidentally came
across Gina Cabrera's site and she had a link to the Shabby Princess
site. Heather was amazed at how real the papers and elements looked.
“I've always loved computers, so I knew I just had to give digital a
try. I love that I've finally found a way that works for me to document
my pictures and my memories. And I don't miss the mess either. LOL!” As
far as style goes, Heather likes clean lines, bright colors, and paper
looking layouts. Other than those things, she will try anything at least
once. A great photo is the best source of inspiration for Heather and of
course her family especially her kids. She is inspired to document the
things they do and say, so I can look back on those memories when I'm
old and senile. LOL! Heather’s best tip is to just have fun and enjoy
the process of scrapping as much as the end result. Although her
favorite font constantly changes. Her favorite handwriting fonts are
Susie's Hand and Roddy. Right now she also likes DSP Pollyanna, Elise,
and lots of doodle fonts. Other than scrapping Heather enjoys going
biking with her husband and kids, “We have one of those silly little
kiddie trailers. LOL!” She enjoys boating, water skiing, reading,
music, and card-making.
