Pictures were taken during our vacation 2005, journaling/title inspired by the events of the last week. Journaling reads: Last week on my way to work one morning, Travis Tritt’s song “Great Day to Be Alive” came on the radio. When I heard the song, I immediately thought what a great layout title that would be. Little did I know that within 5 minutes of my arrival at work, I would have my entire world turned upside down. On that very day, I would learn how very precious life is, and how easy it is to take for granted. All I wanted to do that day was get home and hug my children, to crawl into a corner and pour out my grief. Even now, days later, my heart is still bleeding, but nothing has impressed upon me more than the precious gift of my children, and how great it is to be alive.
