Not sure that this came out how I imagined it... but this is it now
Lochie is role playing at being a cat - and calls me Mummy Cat (& Andrew is Daddy Cat). He looks so precious sitting in a basket watching TV. These days will pass all too quickly. (This should print better than it looks here!)
text reads:I believe that childhood is a magical time, I believe that we should let you be creative,
I am so pleased that you are role playing,
enjoying developing characters and exploring ideas.
You decided a couple of weeks ago that you are a cat. We don’t know anyone with a cat, but you have learnt quite a bit about cats. You make me get out a basket, line it with a blanket, and pass you a pillow. You snuggle down and ask for cat food. This made me wonder? What was cat food?
Cat food - is your favorite biscuits. Cheese and Bacon Shapes. The box is a dark pink/purple and they are not the healthiest snack - but they are a nice treat.
We were waiting at the shops a few weeks ago,
at the height of the cat phase and I had bought
some more. You knew that they were in the trolley, and were begging me at the checkout to give you some. Which would have been OK. If you were not saying “Please Mummy can I have some more cat food?” I am a bit hungry and want some cat food - the one in the purple box.” over & over and loudly.
This was made worse because our leading brand
of cat food comes in a rather distinctive purple
packet - Whiskas - I tried to get you to whisper but - have you ever tried to make a hungry baby cat whisper. Love you Baby Cat.
