      I was so inspired by Jenelle's blog post about birthstones that I thought I would take a chance and design a layout with lots of green for emerald - the birthstone of May. Emerald is my birthstone so I thought I would carry over that theme to my zodiac sign as well. The heart lists lots of words that are used to describe traits of a Gemini. (PS - I didn't list the negative traits such as easily bored, flighty, fickle, and gossipy! Tried to keep it positive!! LOL!)

      I think I pulled out the green elements and papers of every kit I own! I used lots of Sprout, Gracie, and the free holiday kit - Joyful Tidings (great place to find a green jewel, too!)

      I'm really glad I did this because it pushed me to focus on a color that I don't typically use that often. It's good to get out on a limb once in a while and try some thing new!

      WOW!!! What a fabulous page - I am so glad you played along because you've produced such a vibrant and fun layout! Love that you were pushed out of your 'comfort zone' and came up with a masterpiece!!! These greens are really gorgeous together (so is your photograph!). PS. LOVE the word art also - so clever to do it on the Gracie heart.... (pssst... keep your eye out for a future post from me on typography too...)

      What a fun layout!! Love that you've taken the birthstone inspiration and expanded it to include traits about yourself. You did a great job too of including many shades of green to give this layout some depth. Awesome job!!
