It looks fantastic for being done on a time limit!

I've seen the ABC project on a few blogs and I was planning on starting it in September with my son. I hadn't thought about taking photos as we go along but I'll be sure to do that now, thanks to you. I'll put this in my favorites so I remember to scrap mine next year.

WOWOW - i absolutely love this, corrin! it is perfect from start to finish

you and eden did an amazing job with each and every letter (have to agree...Y is the best - but W looks like lots of fun, and who can resist C and D? lol)! the layout is perfection and really 'illustrates' the project wonderfully! it will be a great memory for BOTH of you for years and years to come

i had never heard of this!! what a great, fun way to learn the alphabet!! such a great LO w/ all the pictures around the page! and i just love the "me and you" chalkboards in either corner!

Congrats on getting Layout of the Week! Well deserved, this is soo cute! Sometimes its the ones that come together quickly that turn out the best. I miss the days of doing fun craft projects with my daughter.

the details of this project - I'm not sure if there are more structured ways of doing this, but really we just started working through the alphabet! I asked Eden what things she knew that started with each letter, then we made a pciture, some are simple colouring in, some fingerpainting, some paper collage, glitter glue, even a little bit of threading ribbon through card - anything I could think of to make it fun for her really! We usually did 2 letters at a time, but sometimes she only had enough concerntration for one letter. Each page had a capital and lower case letter, and then I wrote the word in dots, so that Eden could write it herself (towards the end, she could write many of the letters without me doing the dots for her - progress! whoop whoop!!), we took a photo and put the page into a folder. We worked on it whenever it suited us, and I just wanted it to be fun with a little writing practice too. Is that what you were asking? It was a project I'll keep forever, and such a good way to spend some individual time helping Eden prepare for school - I'll be doing it again wiht my younger son in a couple of years I'm sure!
