A spread from my daughter's baby book I thought I'd post because I love this layout (although it is completely not my own, it is a yin designs template). I really wanted to include a piece of the past in my daughter's book, so these are all kinds of family pictures from different times.

I've been doing so many pages for her book that I haven't posted all of it here. But I am excited to say I have finished and ordered it today! It has tons of shabby shoppe stuff in it, so it's probably OK to share the link if anyone is interested:

Thanks to many of you who will read this because every time I finish a book I think about SO MANY things that have gone into the inspiration for it. Thanks to SP and team for the wonderful kits and running this gallery! Thanks to all of you who post here!

Just finished looking through the whole album... WOW!!!!! It's wonderful looking at your individual pages when you post them here in the gallery but looking at the book as a whole just increases the WOW-factor!! It's amazing and I love the 'star' pages for each month - the combination of papers and elements are stunning and it really ties the whole book together. I'm in awe!!!! And this LOVE spread is just so beautiful and perfect!!!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! THANKS again for sharing!!

Thank you all for your sweet comments! I guess at heart I came to scrapbooking because I love pictures and telling their story. This was such a great way to get lots of random stories in my book.

Yes, I did use a template for the left side of the star layout in my book. It was from ideasforscrapbookers.blogspot.com - I think I found this blog from someone in this gallery a while back. I did make the right side template on my own to make it a 2-page layout.

Your baby album is unreal!! I actually book marked it to look back at for inspiration. I saw yours and realized that I missed a ton of stuff. I skipped right from 'hey your born' to 'first smiles' pages. Your book is a complete awakening! Loved it. Now I'm powering out a layout almost every night.
Could you tell me, though, how you recolor items in a kit?

lil_goldie: Glad to hear you've been inspired to work on your own baby book. My books end up being what a lot of people would call "long", but I really like recording all the little things. Good luck on yours!!

I'll tell you how I recolor items in a kit, but as I am a self-taught Photoshop person, I may not always know the "best" or "quickest" way. I learned to recolor first by playing around with the hue and saturation function. Mine is an older Photoshop version, but for me it's under the menu Image-Adjustments-Hue/Saturation. Just try out all the options on that pop up screen and you'll see some of what you can do. I also now use the Color Balance and Brightness/Contrast (both are under Image-Adjustments also) a lot. For me, it's just a matter of trying these to learn what they do. Hope this helps!
