It's not often that we have layouts with this theme in our family book! It was a good excuse to finally buy the Brrr kit. The journaling tells our story:

What a cold winter it was this year around the country! And at the beginning of February, temperatures everywhere were unusually cold. For Matt’s grandparents in Colorado, that meant 25 degrees below zero. For some, that meant feet of snow. For us, it meant temperatures below freezing for most of a week, dropping all the way down to 13 degrees and single digit wind chills. Brrr! That is really cold for central Texas! It was also really cold for our water pipes, which run through the attic and froze in the cold. We had three days of no hot water anywhere in the house and no water at all in the kitchen. Fortunately, they did not burst!

The other part of the cold weather was a rare snow for us. It was not much and it didn’t last long, but we took the kids outside the morning after it snowed in the night. It was so cold though that they wanted to go back inside pretty quickly. Caleb was a bit disappointed that the powdery snow wouldn’t make snowballs or a frosty. I guess I’m glad the kids saw some snow, but I was VERY thankful when it warmed up !

I think this layout is MY favorite. There is something so cool about how it is all put together. I always love your two pagers, Kim! Again the journaling is my favorite part- I just love reading everyone's stories!!! I can't believe it got this cold in central Texas! "No hot water anywhere in the house!" That would be so hard! Glad to hear that no pipes burst! ed this page!!!
