Anyone know how to create a shadow separate, as in it's own layer, in PSE? p.s. please excuse the messed up shadow on the curley twine with tabs hanging. thx.

LOVE these 2 pages of yours - and Hopscotch works perfectly for these fun photos. Love the way you've added the leaves from Gabby too. As for your question on shadows, I don't use PSE, but in Photoshop I've had this problem myself. Guessing it could be fixed by duplicating the layer (the swirlie string). Keep one layer with shadows and one layer without a drop shadow. Then use the eraser to delete the parts you don't want (ie: the shadows)??? Not sure if this will work as I haven't tried it yet. Nevertheless, really love this 2 page layout of yours, as usual!

Love how you've tucked the photos in here! Sometimes I create shadows by duplicating the layer and then darkening and running a gaussian blur filter on it. Not sure if I'm making any sense, but anyways I love this LO!

I knew I saw a weaving tute recently and I couldn't for the life of me remember where....well five minutes later, no help from google b/c I typed 'weave' and not 'weaving' - ugh!, a couple of blogs later and voila!!! http://www.the-lilypad.com/blog/2011...ricks-weaving/
      Hope that helps!!!

When I'm weaving a string around and under things, I duplicate the original thing and put that layer below whatever element I may be weaving the string around. THen I go back to the original layer and I erase parts of that layer to do the weaving. I only shadow the bottom layer that isn't erased. I love this layout, especiall the angled papers and the way you've tucked the photos under the edges of the papers. The photos are adorable and Hopscotch provides the perfect happy colors and patterns to go with your photos.

Nana_vg - Thanks! Why didn't I think of that?!? Lol...Some things come really easy to me, but then a couple of the more easy things I can't figure out and then I have a 'duh' moment. Lol.
