Here is my entry for the fun Christmas Challenge. I think I had a smile on my face the whole time I was putting this together! Such great memories!

Created using the Shoppe's following supplies:-
      Memorable Template
      T'was the Night
      Bella Collection
      Clementine
      Affair to Remember

Also had a go at creating an Ali Edwards' style date stamp in Photoshop.

Journalling reads: Christmas Eve in Daymar Drive, 1985. I was 11 years old in this photo and Cassie was 8 years old. Looking at this image brought back such wonderful memories of our rituals on the night before Christmas, eagerly anticipating Santa’s arrival! We would stay up and watch Carols by Candelight (Humphrey B Bear always a fave) and then put on our Santa pillowcases and set up our Santa sacks in the lounge room. We would put the Christmas cookies on a plate for Santa (I still make these every Christmas) and of course pour a pot glass full of beer! Mum and Dad would read us our Christmas Golden Books - ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas was always saved until last. Kisses goodnight and that wonderful feeling of being tucked up in bed listening for one tiny sound that might be Santa or his reindeer. The noises were usually the cicadas chirping away on a hot Summer night, but I remember that excitement and wonder as I drifted in and out of sleep, waiting for morning. When the first crack of light appeared, I would sneak out to see if the sacks had any loot in them, run back to wake up Cassie and then jump on Mum and Dad’s bed to wake them up so we could open our presents! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas everyone

Awesome Jenelle! Love the layout. Love the star/flower cluster. When I first saw the photo I was like, is that beer? lol I never realized how many used pillowcases for sacks. Always stockings here. Love seeing these old photos. I can't do one yet because I'm waiting for a photo from my mom, but they are a bit busy with a retirement party for Dad (I can't fly home and feeling very guilty). Merry Christmas Jenelle!

Oh Jenelle!!! What an incredible page!! I love the choice of kit - perfect for those pretty summer nighties - and suprisingly festive! LOVE IT!!!!! The cluster with the foil star and the raffia is soooo pretty and the template was a magical choice!! Loved reading your journaling - sounds oh so familiar! Poor Santa - the amount of beer he has to drink when he flies through Australia is ridiculous!! We always had a glass of beer for "Santa" and a carrot for the reindeers. Unfortunately we didn't have carols by candlelight on TV until we were in high school due to limited channels in FNQ. Now, I love it and actually went along when I first moved to Melbourne! It was so beautiful!!! TFS!!!!

jenelle - this is superb! first thing i notice is the feminine feel to it - it is just so PRETTY! And then, the sweet photo...followed by the journaling (which also helped to explain the photo a bit...the beer isn't a tradition here, lolol...at least not that i know of) - LOVE IT ALL! It really is a treasure to have that photo and this scrapbook page - thanks bunches for sharing
