Here's another page for SP's Merry Memories blog post! I think this one is my favourite!

I used mostly the lovely Twas the Night kit - except for:
      Joyful tidings - believe wordart
an affair to remember - gold sequins
      bountiful - jewelry tags

Journaling reads: "A simple Santa sack, or my ‘Christmas pillow case’ as I liked to call it, was the one thing that really meant that Santa’s visit was imminent and the excitement would be unstoppable. Mum and Dad bought both my little sister and I one each and then when my brothers came along they got one too. Mine had a Christmas car on it. Santa drove of course and it was stacked high with presents. We would all use our sacks year after year until they became thread bare & by that time we, unfortunately, became too old for dear Santa Claus. We would fold our ‘pillow cases’ and leave them at the bottom of our beds in the hope that Santa would find them and fill them full of wonderful presents. We would close our eyes tight and try to sleep, for if we didn’t, Santa would not come. And that was not an option, so ‘sleep’ we did. And when we awoke our special, magical, wondrous pillow cases would be bulging of all things new and shiny. We would then race to Mum and Dad‘s bedroom and scream “Santa came, Santa came!” and show them all our special presents delivered during the night while we slept.

Photos taken in 1978 or maybe 1979 - not too sure, oh dear... I look about three or four."

      Thanks so much for looking!

oh, that's a precious memory! I just loved reading it... Does your sister do that with Sophie and Emily? Very clever how you used the scrolled frame to border the journaling, and all the lovely layering with the foil embellishments gives the layout a wonderful "shimmer". I've always loved the Twas the Night kit...

YES!! YES!!! My Santa sack was my Christmas pillowcase too and I just loved placing it out on Christmas Eve. We never had stockings and Santa didn't wrap our presents, he just piled them up in our pillowcase and they'd bulge out the top on Christmas morning!! Oh I wish I still had that old pillowcase! Kylie- these are lovely memories and you've scrapped them so beautifully. Love all the sparkles and ribbons you've added. Perfect!
