I went along with the "lift" of georgeinci's "grumpuss" layout to make this page. All the pages done by the Shabby Artists were so great, I instantly started working on my own after reading the blog post from last Thursday.
We took my kids to the Phoenix Zoo in April of this year and they had an area where you could pay a little extra to feed a giraffe. What a cool experience!
I used mostly the Barefoot kit, but threw in some odds and ends from Affair to Remember (stitching), Sandbox ('fun' word), Hopscotch School Additions (green heart). I think that's about it.
      Journaling says:
"We went to the Phoenix Zoo this spring for the first time despite living in AZ for over 4 years. We had a blast! The highlight of the day was feeding a giraffe. How cool is that? We all took turns giving her some yummy lettuce. I think miss "Charlie" really liked her snack."
      Thanks for looking

This is such a wonderful take on the Thursday Thievery! How fun that you got to feed Miss Charlie! I'll bet the kids really loved that!!! I love the font you chose for your journaling. I'm going to be trying that one! I also love your stitching and all the wonderful little touches!

I am thrilled that you also took on the challenge of scraplifting a Georgeinci masterpiece!! Well done to YOU!!! And how cool is that to feed a giraffe - I've only seen them from a distance at the Zoo so to get close up and personal would be an absolute blast, I'm sure!!! Fab layout - you scraplifted this perfectly!! YAY!!!
