This template was perfect for me to go back and scrap first day of school photos from two years ago. I have avoided it as the photos aren't that great. I tried to put them in the shade, but the sun was really on the side of her face, blowing out details and casting such a golden color that I've had a difficult time toning down. But in the end, I felt these pics deserved to be scrapped.

I love the title "school" with the string intertwined! This is a really nice take on the template challenge! Even though you avoided scrapping the photos because you felt they weren't great, this layout turned out pretty perfect!

love this, V and yep...sometimes we just have to let go of the 'perfect photo' rule, lol! trust me - i have sooooo been there (as a matter of fact, i should probably read this back to myself a few times, lol)! even though i know how to deal with the sun (photographically speaking...lol...my skin still has issues) - i still get blowouts and all sorts of other problems...to the point i try to avoid it when possible, lol! but, you are so right - these TOTALLY deserved to be scrapped...it was an important day/memory and i promise that when they look back on this page...they will NOT see the blow-outs and casting

also, the journaling is so sweet and heartfelt and 'real'! fabulous page, as always - tfs!

Gorgeous! Love the mix of gigglebox and hopscotch papers - amazing colour combinations here - just LOVE it! They are very special photos and I'm so glad you decided to scrap them. The template is perfect!!! TFS!!
