We consider halloween costumes for weeks... and we don't even go "all out" for halloween, lol! For us, it's all about the fun of dressing up (well, and the candy). I have to say, when SP released the Once in a Blue Moon papers, I was so inspired. In my mind, I thought of "Blue Lagoon" and somehow started thinking about mermaids, lol! And since little chick had just learned to swim, it seemed a perfect choice! My mom, the seamstress in the family, whipped these up with some fabric she's had for years (sigh)... I loooooove homemade costumes! Just wish I could sew, lol...

In addition to the Once in a Blue Moon papers, I used a button and flower from Sandbox Summer Addons, greenery from the free kit Plentiful, an arrow from Hopscotch, paper (recolored), ric rac, alpha & hanging star from Sugar Plum Dreams. Thanks for looking!

I love love love this LU!!! I love the pops of pink with the blue moon papers! Your title is wonderful! Those are the cutest costumes that your mom whipped up. I remember the old days when I used to sew all my kids costumes. My oldest son was asking me the other day why I don't do that anymore - I replied "I'm just not a good mom anymore- I used it all up on you." Just kidding - I'm still a great mom; I just have been focusing on other things like scrapbooking! LOL - I am obsessed!!!
