I've been working on this album for about three years off and on. I really hope to finish it one day. I thought I'd share the layouts I have made with SP kits.

      Journaling reads:
This started out as my favorite month of the year
just because my birthday is August 17th. When I
      married Mike, I gained a brother-in-law whose
birthday is August 24th. Then, Lisa, my first daughter,
was born on my 21st birthday. In the beginning, I wasn’t too excited about having to share my special day. But soon my birthday became so much more fun because she shared it with me. I could always remind Mike that my birthday was coming by asking him for ideas on what present we should buy for Lisa or how and when to plan her birthday party. Then, when Lisa was due with Ariana, her first child, I hoped her delivery would come late enough for us to have three generations born on the same date. However, she was a bit too late (perhaps a sign of how hard-headed that baby girl could be), and Ariana entered the world on August 20th. Not the same day, but so close that we’ve shared a family birthday every year since. When Melissa, my youngest daughter married Andy, we
added August 29th to our month of birthdays. Now,
August has become bittersweet with Lisa’s passing. I so miss sharing my birthday with her. It seems so
different. But life never stays the same. And the year when God took away my birthday partner, he also brought into this world a great-nephew to share my day.
