I started being inspired by the blog ad inspiration 2, but I'm not sure how much the end result is anywhere near the layout, but oh well.

Mostly Bella, stitching from Sprout and Hopscotch, tab from Hopscotch, black alpha from sp freebie Sweet Sprinkles, ricrac from Blossom. Some papers from Darling.

      I made the ladybug.

      Quotes from upper left:
      "you're growing big!"
"a ladybug cake for your party"
"mommy made this cake for you!"
"your new fishing pole with you in your new dress from grandma"

(still have some quote edits, but got tired of fiddling)

he he, there is a lot, isn't there? It's because the other page which I haven't uploaded yet is much simpler. Thanks for the 'awesome'!

see...that's what i LOOOVE about templates! they give you a great starting point - but you get to be creative, too and i totally see the inspiration here and truly love your final result! so many great pics and moments made it on to the page! and, the page is just FUN and happy! i had to smile at your comment above...b/c i am the same way - i generally do two pagers...and one page is super busy and full of pics and 'stuff'...and the other - is super simple, just highlighting my fave pic (large) from whatever the day/event/whatever might have been GREAT JOB!

This is soooo sweet - I love it (two cakes???!!!). LOL! The ladybird biscuits are so fabulous - did you make them too? You are super clever! I love how you have adjusted the template to fit your photographs, it's such a great one for lots of wonderful pictures. I can't wait to see the other LO!
p.s I'm with SP as I do try to do 2 pagers (don't usually upload the 2nd, LOL!). I find it looks so much better in my album. I love the idea of a simple page with a more energetic one....inspiration indeed..... xxx

lol! Actually the pictures are a combination of the dinner get together on her birthday (cake I made) and her party at the park. The ladybug cookies are from a friend who is a stay at home mom who makes fabulous baked goods (sugarchicbydawn.blogspot.com).

Thanks SP for the compliments and the insight on how you do your pages.

I have to laugh because if you see the second page ( http://www.theshabbyshoppe.com/photo...part-2&cat=all ), I guess it's not as simple as I thought but it is softer I think.
