It certainly was a challenge to find a photograph to meet the unusual shape of the template from the Blog challenge freebie.

you sooooooo totally rocked this layout i am jealous - i want your layout on the blog post instead of mine, lol! it was funny because once i started going through my pics - i realized that i have a tendency to photograph with the 'rule of thirds'...and just about ALWAYS have my 'subjects' on the right side of the image (will have to shake things up a bit after seeing that, lol)...so thankfully, i had plenty to choose from! Anyway, i digress...you absolutely found the perfect photo, and as usual - also found the perfect 'stuff' to go along with it! the pic is stunning and definitely 'deserved' to take up so much of the page! BRAVO

Thank you for all the wonderful comments - I do love the Shabby Shoppe community (it's the best!). The wood effect paper is from Sandbox (a fabulous kit, extremely versatile!).
It's amazing because without SP's blog challenge I would have probably not scrapped this photograph and it would be simply sitting on my (external!) hard-drive. I'm inspired to pick up from where I left off with the rest of my holiday snaps. I was doing so well but it's so difficult to do past LOs alongside current ones - any tips????! xx

GOR-JUSS...seriously. awesome photo, and as always, LOVe the way you embelished the layout!!

I'm with SP - everything I take is shot rule of thirds with the faces on the right side, LOL! I need to change that up a bit, ha ha.

RE: how to scrap old stuff and new...this is what i LOVE about using software to tag my pics (yesterday's blog post). That way, you can easily click through "groups" of photos and re-evaluate them as you get new kits/products. Sometimes I start with a kit and need a photo to match, so this comes in extremely handy! Other times, when I'm ready to 'get down to business' and scrap on some of the stuff I really need to finish, i go to the event in my photos and then flip through my kit previews to see which kit (or kits) work best. A lot of times i'll open two preview files and pull colors from multiple kits to combine them up to get what I want. Oh, and this would have been a PERFECT photo to tag as "Archie", so that you had a quick collection of your favorite shots of each kid waiting to be scrapped.
      awesome job with the template!!
