      Ad Inspiration 2 Challenge

Vallecito Reservoir, 10 min from my house. Cooked some brats and had some beer with some family. Good day. Got this quick shot with my crappy point and shoot camera as we loaded up the car and headed home. "Dora Exploring" is something I do with my daughter - we go on hikes and I say okay, let's go to the rocks, what's next on the map to get to the lake, okay let's go to that tree....and we sing the "I'm the map" song, etc. I make 'challenges' for her along the way. Lots of fun.

I was playing with brushes, opacity, eraser, etc. Mostly Barefoot, with the grunge denim paper from Spontaneity. Leaves stamp from Olivia.

Inspiration from SP's layout on blog post. thx!

Thank you ladies! I just wish I could have taken it with a dslr. I am scrimping and saving for a dslr. I used to have a slr but film developing alone made it frustrating. I'm so close, have the camera picked out....soon!

Beautiful page. I love the brushwork and the photo blends so well with the backdrop. I know what you mean about the slr. My husband just bought me a used one. I love it and it was affordable.

HELLO...?? this is GORGEOUS! I love the very saturated colors. Love the journaling...the whole page is so beautiful!!

which dSLR are you getting?!! how exciting! it will be worth every penny!!!!! I recommend getting the "nifty fifty" (the 50mm 1.8 lens) to go with it. Canon and Nikon both have them!

      Thanks!

Beckie - I know most think Canon is better, and I know mine is only a point and shoot, but I wasn't too impressed. I am used to a Nikon slr so I think I may switch back to a Nikon dslr. I'm looking at the D300 (expensive!) or D60, but open to deals really. I've thought about some of the other brands due to the lenses are cheaper (I've discovered because other brands have the image stabilization in the camera - cool! - and Canon and Nikon have it in their lenses), but feel that I should probably stick to the two major brands that photographers go for. What camera do you use?

p.s. Thanks for the tip on the nifty fifty lens....never heard of it. Great prices on it.

edited to add : I guess I don't really have the camera picked out yet
