I am thinking I have so many photos from this Colorado vacation that I will need to do a book, so this is the first page of more to come.

Lyrics to the song "Be" by Neil Diamond -
      Lost
      On a painted sky
      Where the clouds are hung
      For the poet's eye
      You may find him
      If you may find him

      There
      On a distant shore
      By the wings of dreams
      Through an open door
      You may know him
      If you may

      Be
As a page that aches for words
Which speaks on a theme that's timeless
While the sun God will make for your day
      Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way

      And we dance
      To a whispered voice
      Overheard by the soul
      Undertook by the heart
      And you may know it
      If you may know it

      While the sand
      Would become the stone
      Which begat the spark
      Turned to living bone
      Holy, holy
      Sanctus, sanctus

      Be
As a page that aches for word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the sun God will make for your day
      Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your day

LOVE this! I live in CO so I'm particular to this . Love how it fades and how the frame focuses the eye on them. Not sure how you got it to fade into that curly shape - but beautiful!!! Really love this page. Into the faves.

Thanks for your kind words! Lucky you to live in CO - we had a blast visiting Estes Park, Boulder and RMNP. Many fond memories of this trip. I was reading your post here and I realized that I forgot to give credit for the mask that I used for the larger photo: they are from Anna Aspnes and called "Hipster Plume FotoBlendz Clipping Masks No. 2" and can be found at Designer Digitals. The curled effect happened on its own when I added a drop shadow! I have been experimenting with drop shadows a lot lately and I think they always add a cool 3D effect to layouts.

Wow! This is beautiful! I love how you used the frames to focus on the people and I like the elements you used with the frame. The picture is absolutely beautiful.

Great page, Kristi!! We live in CO and I think I recognize Bear Lake here - I have a photo of my kids on this rock in a June snow storm! Absolutely love the song journaling (more like word Art!) and the framed portion of the blended photo. Really beautiful.

Yes! It is indeed Bear Lake. This must be a popular vista, this rock that my girls are standing on, because I have had a few people now tell me they have stood in that same spot. I worked at YMCA of the Rockies in 1982 (summer before my sophomore year in college) and I remember being bewildered at the sudden weather changes that could happen in May and June.
