My grandfather was born and died in Ottawa, Canada, where he lived all his life. So when I did a search of google's newspaper archives, I was surprised to find a couple of articles (with photographs!) in American newspapers. Apparently he was a "hockey speeder"! For my dad's family history album. Frame from Katie Pertiet's Vintage Large Frames. Typewriter alphabet from Ronna Penner's Grandma's Attic. Heart charm from SP's Carousel. Tape from SP's HopScotch. Everything else from SP's Clementine (with striped background made from two separate Clementine papers).

Excellent page. Actually thinking of purchasing Clementine just to do our ancestry book - love the tone, the mood, great kit and perfect for you photos. Great job on the stripe background. Clever!

I agree the Clementine kit is fabulous for heritage pages and the stripes look just the part in this LO. This one must have taken you ages - did you scan the pictures? Love all the little details! Into my faves!

Georgeinic, I scanned the U. of Ottawa photo. The newspaper clipping is from google's online archive of old (but now digitised) newspapers.
