This is the only photo of my mother and I, that I have with me. For quite awhile now I've been meaning to create a special page just for it, and as soon as I laid eyes on the new
HopScotch kit I knew straight away what I MUST do!!! The brown cardboard and all the bright little papers and elements so reminded me of unpacking all those boxes and of all my little goodies I had stored away for the big move!
Here is the journaling:
"I’ve always, always loved flicking through old family photograph albums...for as long as I can remember! I’m certain the joy I get from scrapbooking is just an extension of this earlier fascination. As a little girl I would pour over my own album (lovingly put together by my mother) for hours, time and time again, year after year! I’m actually suprised it is still in relatively good condition. My beloved albums are all still with my parents - too far away! I so miss all those lovely pics - and my parents and brothers, of course!! LOL! When I moved away from home, many years ago now, I packed up box after box of my belongings in a very organised fashion - “as only I know how!”. While I was unpacking I came across this very random, loose photograph of me as a baby with my mum. How it got there, no-one knows. But I treasure it with all my heart. It’s not the best or the clearest or the cutest and it’s loosing its colour, but it is the one that now means the most! What a lovely suprise!!"
It was my mum's birthday on the day I created this layout - Happy Birthday Mum!! XOXO
