I love capturing the stories of my grandchildren's lives. This is one of them...
Journaling reads:
Mommy was within a minute or so of leaving for work. She had been helping Daddy prepare lunches for Delaney and you when she heard you dancing, a fairly normal activity when you’re watching cartoons in the morning, so she didn't think much of it. Then, from the other room, she heard your sweet little voice singing " I'm spwashing in my pee-pee; I’m spwashing in my pee-pee." As you might imagine, that raised an alarm. Mommy went to investigate and found you had gone into the bathroom, got right in front of the toilet, and “had an accident.” Thus began the dancing and singing. It must have been a boat-load of fun, because Mommy reported you put your favorite turtle in your pee-pee so it could dance, too. To Mommy’s dismay, the pee-pee was all over everything in the bathroom, requiring substantial cleanup and outfit number 2. According to Daddy, “When it rains, it pours.” Soon after Mommy left for work (late, I might add), you went to finish your breakfast and in the process of playing around at the breakfast table with your favorite turtle (the one spwashing in the pee-pee with you) you spilled all of your orange juice all over the turtle, the floor, and outfit number two. After a spell in time-out, Daddy put outfit number three on you, cleaned up the mess on the floor, and dropped you and Delaney off at daycare. Daddy’s last pearls of wisdom he shared with Papa and me were, “The day is still young...who is betting she will hit outfit number four today? May 3, 2010
