Default Help a newbie - piece a cake album

I'm new to digital scrapbooking and I just bought the Splash piece a cake mini album. I started adding photos to my pages and then decided I should watch the tutorial. In the video tutorial it says to create a new document 8x8 layout page first, then add the album layout as a layer. I didn't do this, is it going to be a problem when I get ready to print? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    I'm using a PC with PSCS2 version 9.0.2.

    Thanks,
    Nina

I am pretty sure the reason that this step is included in the tutorial is just to make sure you don't accidentally save the final page over top of the original file. It is just a good practice to start with a blank canvas and drag whatever you want onto it. It's soooooo easy to just click "save" when you are working on a LO--if you start with a purchased file as your canvas, flatten and save it (as opposed to "save as") then you cannot re-use the file you purchased. Sooooooooo hopefully that makes sense-LOL!

But you shouldn't have any printing problems because you didn't do that step!!! And as long as you did a "save as" for your final printable file to change to name or the file type and didn't save over your original PNG file you should be fine! Hope this helps!!!
