Question
: Why am I being asked for a PASSWORD when trying to OPEN or VIEW a PDF file (i.e. instructions files, terms of use files, etc.)? What is the password?
Answer : The good news is that we do not require a password to open or view any of our files that are in PDF format. Typically when we see this problem, it can be corrected by using the official Adobe PDF viewer, or by upgrading to the most recent version. It’s free to download here:

Different aspects of PDFs can be password protect. Viewing and printing is NOT something we ever password protect in our .pdf files. We only password-protect the EDITING of our pdf files (which is something that we do not allow, and is not necessary in order to view and benefit from the information provided). So, if you are simply trying to open/view/print the pdf and are being prompted for a password - please continue reading.
For some reason, your PDF viewer is confusing the blocking of being able to edit the file, with viewing it. It’s really uncommon for this to happen - but from time to time, it does occur.
99.9% of the time, if you download the most recent version of the PDF reader, all will be right again :o).
