project SCRAP ::: checking in :o)

 hey guys :o)  SP here today…for our MARCH project SCRAP check-in!  Of course it is now APRIL…but we will not be ’scrapping’ April until the beginning of May :o)  I know – it gets confusing, LOL…but the best way to make sense of it…is that we can’t scrap a month until it is FINISHED, he he!  So – the April check-in will be sometime in May :o)  Clear as mud?  lol!

But, to confuse it even further – I have to FIRST share my FEBRUARY pages with you guys, LOLOL!  If you tuned in last month…you might remember that things were super busy for us and I just didn’t have time to scrap my pages before the scheduled ‘check-in’ post :o(  That was the first time I couldn’t squeeze it in…and I felt awful!  BUT, I am happy to say that I am again CAUGHT-UP and completely UP-TO-DATE (and even better…taking LOTS of pics – yay)!  It feels great to be ‘current’ again…and I hope this helps some of you to realize that you really CAN make up for lost time (as long as you do not let yourself get TOO far behind)!  So…without further ado, here are my ‘belated’ February pages :o)  For more February inspiration – you can check out THIS POST!  Anyhoo – I promised I’d share…

Now, onto the topic at hand today :o)  MARCH project SCRAP pages (if you missed the March templates – CLICK HERE)!  We’ll start with mine…I really loved these templates and the ’spot’ for the large, landscape photo!  And, I had the perfect photo for it (love it when that happens)!  Our March was all over the place, lol…so there was a lot of journaling…and I really appreciated having all of the ’space’ for it!

 Next…we have Kim’s March pages!  OH MY GOODNESS…look at the main photo – the kids are adorable (and ALL smiling…how did she manage that?  lol)…and the flowers – LOVE :o)  I think Kim enjoyed all of the journaling space, too – and she did an amazing job of incorporating the fancy flourish stamps from the Heartfelt collection – SOOOO CLEVER and it creates great movement on the pages!  Always enjoy Kim’s project SCRAP pages soooooo much!

How about some gorgeous inspiration from Kylie?  I love the contrast from all of our spring pages…it’s Autumn for Kylie now – and just look at those trees – WOW :o)!  Looks like a fun month…lots of celebrating!

Next…we have some PRECIOUS pages by Amber!  Oh my Goodness…look at the ‘big’ pic, lol!  just LOVE it :o)  and the little chickies…too cute!  Had to share these with ya – as always – thanks so much for posting, Amber (you really must check out her gallery)! :o)

 Finally, we have these adorable pages by lil_goldie!   The first thing that caught my eye…she rotated the templates!  It was the perfect choice, too – look how perfectly her photos work with the rotated pages :o)  GENIUS…so many adorable photos and I love the mix of patterned papers :o)  Thanks so much for sharing with us!

 Don’t forget that there is always plenty of inspiration in our special, project SCRAP 2012 gallery!  You’ll find lots more pages there – so be sure to check it out…and most importantly – UPLOAD YOUR LAYOUTS :o)  We would LOOOOOVE to see them!  We love that you guys are joining us for project SCRAP 2012 - THANKS!

So, that’s it for me today…but be sure to stop back by tomorrow for a lil’ beauty talk :o)  Have a beautiful AND blessed day/night!  XOXO — SP

project SCRAP ::: March Templates

Hello everyone…Kylie here! :o)  Dropping by to share this month’s project SCRAP 2012 templates (two separate templates to create a ’spread’) with you all! YAY!

The MARCH templates are nice & bright, and extra cheerful!  We so hope you love them as much as we do!! :o)  And for something a little different I’ve added a longer panoramic-style photo space on the single page…fun, fun!  What if you don’t end up having a photo to fill this space? ~ you might like to divide the space into two or three photo spots, or even clip it with some paper and then layer a framed standard-sized photo on top.  Remember a template is just a kick-start to your own creativity…so feel free to play, play, play!! :o)

project SCRAP check-in ::: February 2012

Hi all :o)  SP here today, and so happy to be bloggin’ with ya!  The purpose of my drop-by?!  …it’s time for our project SCRAP 2012 CHECK-IN!  So, how are you guys doing with project SCRAP 2012 so far?!  I will admit that as your ‘fearless leader’ – I’m not going to be the best example today, lol!  I really can’t even explain how incredibly busy the past month has been for us…and as a result – I just could not get my pages finished in time for this post :o(  I am so sad about that…it’s the first time since we started this super FUN project – but, ‘it is what it is’, lol!  I tried, I really tried :o)  However, in a way – I think it is OK…it just let you guys know that it happens every now and then…BUT – it is no reason to stop the project!  I will still get my pages done SOON…and will share them with you on the next check-in, PROMISE :o)  I won’t let this deter me…and hopefully – I won’t have to postpone pages anymore this year!  I think we ALL have certain times of the year that are busier than others…and sometimes – we just have to work around that and do the best we can, right?  So…if you get behind (like me, lol) – please do NOT get discouraged…just get back to scrapping when you can and all will be FINE!  That’s one thing I LOVE about a year-long scrapping  project…you do have a little bit of flexibility :o)  But…one word of caution – DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET TOO FAR BEHIND!  I would say three months might be the limit?  I think any more than might be difficult to overcome?  Hey, we’re all different though…so you might be someone who could make up for 10 skipped months (assuming you were still taking plenty of photos during those months).  I know I couldn’t, lol…so I have to make sure I pick back up with my scrapping SOON!   Alright…so I really do apologize for not having my own pages to share with you this time…

As a result, I really had to rely on the project SCRAP 2012 GALLERY - and our scrappers certainly did NOT disappoint :o)  THANKS for the great inspiration, girls – it is much needed this month (for me…and others, too – I’m sure, lol)!  I really LOVE what everyone did with these FEBRUARY templates!  They were so cool to begin with…and to see them ‘brought to life’ with all of the amazing photos and ’scrapping stuff’ – just fabulous!

So, we’ll start with these gorgeous layouts by jessg26 !  They just MELTED me :o)  Absolutely adore her choice of papers (that color combo is perfection)…and how she split the main photo into two!  It’s so important to remember that the templates are just a starting point…and you can ‘customize’ however you need or like!  This is a great example of that!  All of the photos here are just toooooo cute as well :o)  Definitely some new fave pages for me :o)  As always, thanks so much for sharing with us, jessg26!

 Next, we have Kylie’s HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY pages…you seriously cannot look at that main photo without SMILING :o)  Well, at least I know I can’t, lol!  So much beautiful color…and gorgeous, bright and cheery photos!  Can I just say that Kylie’s ADORABLE nieces are growing up so fast?!  I didn’t think it was possible…but seriously, they are just getting cuter by the minute :o)  I’m always amazed at how she is able to capture their love and relationship in pictures :o)  Great job, as always, Kylie – thanks!

 Moving on to Kim’s fabulous February :o)  The first thing that grabbed me was the gorgeous color combos here (she did a great job of recoloring items, too!).  But, that was quickly followed by smiling at all of the great pics!  The family photo is so sweet and special…but just look at those happy kid faces, too?!  he he – talk about HAPPY PAGES?!  Super cute how she added a journaling paper on the second page…and I think the mix of patterned papers is genius :o)  I just keep looking at these layouts…and find something new each time, lol!  Thanks bunches, Kim :o)

  Another fave set of pages from the gallery – Amber’s amazing February spread!  I LOVE all of the green mixed with the heart paper…with the addition of the ‘extra’ colors – fabulous!  But, seriously – that main photo of the little guy sleeping…WITH PENNIES on his FACE?!  LOL…you just WANT to read on to find the ’story’ behind it, lol!  And…the family photos and baby face pic?  PRECIOUS!  I also enjoyed the ‘tweaking’ that Amber did with her second page…it totally WORKS here – and was a brilliant idea :o)  Thanks for the great inspiration, Amber!

 And, finally – we have Rosy’s  super cool layouts :o)  She also edited the main template by adding two photo spots…and I’m so happy she did!  I wouldn’t have wanted to miss either of those pics!  Totally ‘cheesin’ over the lollipop photo though….how CUTE is that?!  The snowman is awesome, too – and the closeups of cookies, treats and shoes/pants – LOOOOOVE!  They really help to illustrate the ’story’ and journaling (note to self:  more closeups, lol)!  Looks like a super fun February – thanks for sharing it with us, Rosy :o)

  OK, so that is it for our check-in :o)  Again – I hope that you are still scrapping right along…I’ll be checking in again before long…and WILL be up-to-date :o)  So, stick with me…and HAVE FUN with it!  Just remember…even if you are too busy to scrap at the moment…you MUST at least take photos (even if you don’t download them immediately) :o)  You can’t scrap without ‘em, lolol!

Oh, don’t forget to post YOUR project SCRAP 2012 pages in our special GALLERY :o)  We ALL love to browse the pages to get inspiration for our own layouts!  Especially during those times when we are not feeling so creative, lol!

I’m back to work on the new kit…which is coming right along :o)  So…you won’t hear from me much as all of my ‘free time’ (ha ha ha) is going towards that right now – YAY :o)  Thanks again for the patience!  Hope you all have a great day/night…and a very, super BLESSED and HAPPY weekend!  XOXO – SP

project SCRAP ::: February Templates

Hi everyone! :o)  It’s Kylie here today and I’m really, really excited to share our new project SCRAP templates for FEBRUARY.  Hope you LOVE them as much as I do and enjoy making them your own…by adding your photos, some papers, a little embellishment here and there, your all-important story-telling…and of course lots of love!

Have you been taking your photos every week so that you can fill all those cute little photo spots??…hope so! :o)  I started the month off so strong (and have more than enough pics) but am afraid to report that I seem to have run out of puff as not many photo-worthy moments have come my way the last couple of weeks.  In my ‘perfect world’ I’d love to have my two photos to represent each week…all nicely organised and balanced.  But, for some months I know it’s just not going to work out that way, know what I mean!! ;o)  The important thing is to capture and document our week-to-week moments when we can…the special celebrations, the everyday moments…and like Beckie said yesterday ‘who we are in our real life’.  A little peek into our world from month to month!  Struggling to get your photo quota? – take a photo of the book you’re currently reading, a meal you cooked, a flower that’s blooming in the garden, a project you’re kids made, or a new haircut…anything you want!  Remember, this is YOUR book/album…so there are no ‘themes’ to follow, etc.  Just try to think BIG PICTURE and what you would want to remember in a couple of years, five years, twenty years.  That will be different for each of us.

Now, let’s get to the templates… you can click on the image below…or, CLICK HERE to download the your templates (two separate templates to create a ’spread’)!
