Hi guys, Kylie here! :o)  And, I’m very excited to be sharing the AUGUST templates with you for project SCRAP 2011! Oh goodness, we are fast approaching the end of another season…once again.  The months…and the project templates, are merrily skipping by!  I’m really looking foward to the milder weather and all the springy, sunshiney colours…getting outdoors and thawing out will be high on my agenda!!  And for most of you the magical colors of fall will begin to emerge…so lovely! (Colours for me, colors for you…LOL!!)  Anyhoo, there’s oodles of photo inspiration at every turn…whichever season you are drifting towards.  But hold on a sec, before I ‘race’ the year away, there is still plenty of time left in lil’ ol’ August to capture all those every-day moments and treasured memories.  And we sure hope that the ‘scrumptious’ NEW project Scrap templates will help you scrap all those moments - ever-so beautifully!  There are bunches of photo spots and lots of options for story-telling on this two-page ‘spread’.  I’m really loving how easy it is to scrap a month-by-month snapshot of 2011…I’m on such a roll now and enjoying every minute…and, I can’t wait to look back and re-live all those special times! So many smiles!!  And there are even more smiles in the project SCRAP gallery…LOVE THAT!! :o)

hello hello! SP here today…with a fun check-in for our project SCRAP :o) Ya know what…I have to tell you guys…I started this project with mixed emotions – wondering if it was something I really wanted to ‘take-on’…in more ways than one, lol! It’s been a big undertaking for all of us at the Shoppe (certainly not just me, lol)…but I have to say that it has also been SO worth it! hmmm…I sound like we are wrapping up the year or something, lol…NOT YET! but, it’s just that I am SO happy to have seven months/spreads COMPLETE…I mean that has just never happened before! I don’t feel the guilt that I normally do…where I know that I am not up-to-date…and that I am missing/forgetting important events and moments from the year, kwim?! But not just that…I REALLY love the pages I have, lol! Thanks to the templates…there is a cohesive feel and flow to the pages and I am so excited to see the final book/album when we get there! So, you guys stay on track with me (the good thing is that since I do these check-ins…I CAN’T get behind, lolol)…and let’s finish STRONG :o)

Can I just tell you that I had the MOST fun with the JULY templates?! I loved Kylie’s design on these…the circle was like a ‘breath of fresh air’ – and Goodness knows I had PLENTY of photos to fill it with this month, lol! For many of us (at least in the US)…July 4th is a big part of July – and like many of you – I had LOTS of pics from our celebrations! But, the month was full of other FUN stuff, too – so I tried to balance it out a bit :o) Will definitely have to add a couple of July 4th pages in my album though…just so many pics, lol! Anyway – let’s get on with it, huh? :o) Here are my July pages…

Thankfully…I am not alone in this project :o) And, fortunately for you guys…we have more inspiration than just mine, lol! Have you guys had a chance to peek at the project SCRAP gallery lately? If you haven’t…you must do so :o) It is truly overflowing with AMAZINGLY FABULOUS inspiration for this wonderful project we have all been working on together! I love seeing how everyone interprets the templates…adds their own ‘style’ and flair! I just think it is so fun that we all start with with the same ‘blueprint’…but all end up with our own custom pages! Speaking of which…how about a few of my July faves from the project SCRAP gallery? I know it’s kinda early…but I can’t wait to see the gallery fill up with more July spreads :o)

First, we have Kylie’s! While it is SOOOOO hot here (and I’m sure for many of you, too)…I just really enjoy seeing her COOL, WINTER pages, lol! Isn’t it so fun that we experience opposite seasons at the same time? lol! I have the pleasure of having a weekly ‘screen-to-screen’ chat with Kylie…and it cracks me up that I am in a tank top and shorts…and she is all bundled up :o) But, about her pages – FABULOUS as ALWAYS! Love her use of the Darling Paper Collection…and her ability to mix and match elements and kits (to perfection)! And, I just can’t get enough of her precious nieces :o)

I am a HUGE fan of PrimevalPixie’s gallery…she has filled it with so many fabulous and FUN pages…and her July project SCRAP spread is NO exception! LOVE all of the family pics…and how it all just screams SUMMER! perfect, perfect perfect! Thank you so much for inspiring us :o)

Finally…we have jessg26′s July pages! Like me, she went with Summer Cottage (not only perfect for Independence Day pics…but for summer/beach/lake in general!) – and it was the perfect choice for all of her photos! The casual feel of the pics and papers are fabulous for hot, summer pages! and just look at that little beach cutie, lol! all of the pics are beyond precious! oh, and while you are in jessg26′s gallery – you have to see her SPLASH PARK page…it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO sweet!

Okie Dokie :o) I think that should do it for project SCRAP today! Keep scrapping away…and please remember to upload your layouts so we can all see! You never know just how inspiring your pages might be for someone!

I’ll be back soon-ish (hopefully by the weekend…but don’t hold me to it) with a couple of new items for the Shoppe - YAY! Won’t be a HUGE release…but I’m super excited to tell you that I am working on a new KIT (yep…a whole KIT, lolol) and am LOVING it…and having a LOT of fun with it! Hi there, girls…SP here with the JUNE PROJECT SCRAP check-in post :o) I just finished up my JUNE layouts, and wanted to share and make sure that we are all on track!   We are HALFWAY through with the year, can you believe that?!  And, if you have kept up with your pages…that means that you have HALF of an ALBUM complete…how awesome is that?!  Of course…if you’re a little behind…no worries, you still have time to catch up (just don’t wait too long)!  In the event you missed them – you can find the JUNE layout templates HERE :o)  So, how about some inspiration…not just from me…but from several of our regular gallery posters (and Kylie, too!)!  Honestly – I could have added SOOOOOO many more layouts to this post as there are LOTS of AMAZING June spreads in the project SCRAP gallery…but, I didn’t want this post to be a mile long, lol!  SO, please be sure to visit the GALLERY to see all of the inspiration…I really can’t tell you how much time I spent agonizing over which (and how many) layouts to include in this post…they were all truly FABULOUS (keep up the GREAT work ladies!) :o)

This month was a little different than usual for me, as I hardly took ANY pics in June :o(  May was such a SUPER busy month for us…and I took LOTS of pics during that month…and I guess I was just tired when June rolled around, lol!  Sadly, I only took pics on ONE day during June – yep…that’s right – only ONE day!  I know, I know…but I’m only admitting this so you guys will know that it’s OK to ‘mess up’ for a month, lol!  THANK GOODNESS for great quality iphone4 pics :o)  Seriously…I never use cell phone pics on my pages…but, thankfully – it worked well enough this time as the photo spots are pretty small!  Now…I also have to fess up and say that the big pic (on the left page) was technically in July…but VERY CLOSE to June…so i’m going with it, he he!  Actually, I will prolly switch it out with a Father’s Day picture that I didn’t have time to edit :o)  Either way – it’s OK…and I’m happy that I was able to fill everything in, WHEW, lol!  And, also very happy that we tend to take lots of iphone pics when we are out and about (ya just never know when you will need them)!  Good news…I have already taken MORE than enough pics for July…and it’s still early, lol!  Anyhoo…here are my pages!

I worked with SO many kits and products on these page, lol!  To name a few – the free Happy Go Lucky kit, Gabby, Barefoot, HopScotch, Giggle Box and more!

 OK, so it’s time for MORE inspiration – these layouts are SURE to get you EXCITED about working on project SCRAP - they are all simply wonderful!

First…we have this amazing spread from jessg26 :o)  I feel like I share her layouts a lot…and there is a reason for that…they always ROCK, lol!  She blows me away with her pages…and I just LOVE the mix of patterns and colors here…not to mention some seriously ADORABLE photos!  Thanks for always sharing your work with us!

Next…we have sweet Kylie’s pages!  LOOOOOVE the b/w background with pops of sweet color!  And…wow – it looks like June was a LOT of fun, he he!  And, can I just say that her nieces are the cutest ever :o)  AWESOME, as always – thanks for sharing your June with us Kylie!

And, of course…we have one of my all-time favorite scrappers, creativescrapmommy :o)  She can truly do no wrong, lol!  These pages are classic BOY and I couldn’t love them any more!  From the perfectly primary colors…to the sweet photos and the clever addition of the index cards for journaling…genius!  But wow…what a perfect photo moment…waiting on the Thomas train!  Thanks for inspiring us :o)

How FABULOUS are Amber’s layouts?! I really like the simplicity of her pages here, and the focus on the photos and journaling…you really get an idea of how the month went (busy and fun – there was painting and sewing and playing and more, lol)!  But really…that LARGE photo – MELT – it is perfection, lol!

Finally – I just had to share Side by Side’s awesome layouts with you!  I love how she modified the template by turning it to the side, and added extra photos (left page)…and, her journaling placement on the right page!  It really changes it up and just WORKS!  Bravo…and THANK YOU for posting these perfect pages!

 Well, that does it for me today (well, for the blog at least, lol)!  Keep scrapping…and keep posting – let’s continue to inspire (and motivate) each other!

Hi everyone!! Kylie here! :o) I can hardly believe we are already here… at the halfway mark of project SCRAP 2011! Time really does fly when you’re having lots of scrapping-FUN!  You guys are doing an unbelievable job with getting your month-to-month memories scrapped. And, even if you have gotten a little behind… it’s NEVER too late… the templates make it so easy! I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I get so excited when I think about having a printed 12-month album to flip through at the end of the year – my VERY FIRST! What a wonderful feeling… three cheers for project SCRAP!! Hip-hip-hooray!
