1. Add an odd number of photos, two solid papers, and four patterned papers to your layout.
2. Add at least one ribbon to your layout. Flat ribbon or any element that contains a ribbon/bow is acceptable here.
3. Add 3 different types of elements to your page. You may use as many of each element type as you wish! Examples of element types include: buttons, flowers, stickers, etc.
4. Add 3 different digital stamps to your layout. These can be a combination of brushes and/or the digital stamps included in many Shabby Princess kits, including the multi-color artwork. SP “stickers” do not qualify for this step (the stickers have a border around them and have the word “sticker” in the file name).
5. Add a title
6. Add a stroke to at least one item on your page. You can find quick instructions on how to add a stroke HERE!

That’s it! you’ve now received all 6 of your instructions. You may not add any other elements your page that haven’t been explicitly stated in the instructions :) Also remember that fonts are “free” and you can add journaling and/or a date to your page if you wish (as well as anything else you would like to do with fonts/text).

Remember that you must post your layout here by 12 MIDDAY EST (one hour and ten minutes from now!) in order to qualify for the prize drawings.

In just a short while we’ll post the first instruction right here on the blog! If you’ve never done an event like this before, you’re in for a treat! Here’s a little more information on how things will work:

• I’ll provide one instruction for you every 10 minutes.
• Often the instruction will tell you a type of material to use. If no specific instruction is given on how to use that piece of material, then that means it’s totally up to you!
• Fonts…Fonts are “freebies” and can be used without being explicitly called for in the instructions. This is primarily because journaling is a personal preference, and some folks love it and some don’t :)
• If you have questions about the instruction, please post a comment to the blog. We’ll answer your questions as quickly as possible!
• The last instruction will be posted at 10:50AM EST. You’ll have an additional hour to “play with” your layout, but you must post your finished layout to the gallery HERE by 12 MIDDAY EST to qualify for the prize drawings!

We’ll post the FIRST INSTRUCTION at 10AM EST!

Happy Tuesday from the Shabby Shoppe!  It’s Beckie here, and I’m super excited to announce that our FAST and FABULOUS speed scrap is BACK!

Kylie, SP and I will be your hostesses for our SECOND ever FAST and FABULOUS speed scrap!  Together we’ll answer your questions, keep the instructions coming, and even chat a little along the way :)

:: How does it work? ::

Grab a beverage and your favorite snack…and JOIN US right here at the BLOG at 10AM Eastern Standard Time on SATURDAY MORNING, November 12th!!!   Over the course of ONE HOUR, we’ll give you basic scrapping instructions ONE AT A TIME, every TEN minutes.  At the end of the hour, you’ll have SIX instructions for creating a layout.  Just scrap along as each instruction is given out! ~ too easy!  Then, you’ll have one additional hour to finish up your layout and get it posted in the Shoppe’s FAST and FABULOUS gallery.

During the TWO ‘fast and fabulous scrapping’ HOURS, you can add any comments and/or questions you may have right on the blog!  Kylie, SP and I (Beckie) will be on hand to answer all your questions as they come in!

These basic instructions will help you create your very own FAST and FABULOUS layout!  The final set of instructions from our first speed scrap can be found HERE!  These simple prompts take out the guesswork but still leave all the creativity up to you :)

 :: Share your finished layout with other Shoppe Speed Scrappers! ::

Seeing everyone’s work is always the best part :) It’s so FUN to see how everyone interprets the instructions and how different all of the layouts turn out. Plus…

post your layout to this gallery by 12 midday EST and you’ll be entered into a random drawing to win one of three $10 Shabby Shoppe gift cards!

:: About the date and time ::

We know that the date and time may not suit absolutely everyone (time zones, busy schedules and the like!!)…we promise to keep rotating around the dates and times to make sure that we give everyone the chance to participate!  :)

So mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, November 12th at 10 AM EST!  We’ll be sure to remind you again as we get closer to the event date, too!  We’d truly love to see you back with us again OR for the very first time…to scrap fast and fabulous TOGETHER!
