Hi everyone, Nicole here!

We are excited to bring you a new template challenge this month here at the Shabby Shoppe blog!  You will have three weeks to scrap with our template and post a comment back :o)  We will announce the template challenge winner on July 22th !  The ‘winner’ of the challenge will receive a $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe!  Please note that for our template challenge…we select the ‘winner’ randomly – so everyone has a great chance to win!

In order to be entered into the template challenge – you must post your layout in the Shabby Shoppe’s gallery (in the SHOPPE BLOG CHALLENGES gallery) and then post a comment HERE at our blog (on this post only) with a link to your layout in our gallery.  This will enter you into the challenge :o)  Please keep in mind that all layouts must contain at least 75% SP product (purchased or free).  And, to be eligible for the challenge – you must scrap with the easy-as-pie template (the layered template)…and not the piece-a-cake page (quick page).  Although – we would still LOVE to see your layouts with the piece-a-cake page, too!

We also have several fun ways for you to obtain ‘extra’ entries to the challenge (please note that in order to qualify for any EXTRA entries – you must first complete a layout with our easy-as-pie template and submit that to our gallery and blog) :o)

  • For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have one of our blinkies (available by clicking on the blinkies link in the sidebar) either on your blog or in all of your forum signatures (be sure to include a link to your blog or signature in your post).
  • For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have facebooked or twittered about our template challenge (don’t forget to include the link in your post).
  • For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have blogged about our template challenge (again, be sure to add your blog link to your post).

You have the possibility of entering the challenge up to 4 times! Just be sure each entry is a separate comment, as we will be using a random number generator to choose the winner.  Be sure to get your entries in by MIDNIGHT (eastern time) on July 21st, as the winner will be selected early the morning of July 22nd!

But, that’s not all! We are also sharing the layout that I designed with the template. The Piece-A-Cake page will be included in the download of the template, so no extra steps are required to obtain it. It is just our little way of saying thank you for participating in our challenge.

Shabby Princess has also created a quick and simple tutorial on how to use our Easy-As-Pie templates in PSE and PS. You can find it HERE. We tried to cover the basics, but if you have any questions, please let us know and one of the Shabby Team Members will do their best to answer it.

Product Spotlight ~ Twirl

I’m so excited to bring you this weeks Product Spotlight! I was having a hard time picking just one, but as my husband and I were looking through old pictures the other night,  I stumbled on a series of photos I had taken of my daughter in her rain jacket a couple years ago. The funny thing is, I had actually taken those photos to go with the Twirl kit when it first came out and I had never scrapped them!

What I love most about this kit {besides the colors, of course} are the stickers. I believe Twirl, along with the Bounce Collection, were among the first kits that Shabby Princess started including doodles and stickers. All her kits are fabulous, but I have often thought that this kit is where she “found” and really started developing her own unique style.

In case Twirl isn’t a part of your scrapbook collection yet,  – you can grab it this week for 25% off

Here is my newest layout featuring the Twirl Collection:

And here is a gorgeous new layout by Shabby Princess

Be sure to check out more amazing layouts using the Twirl Collection in the Gallery.

Also be sure to check out our Twirl Piece-A-Cake Albums and Blogwear in the shop!

{Click on images to take you to The Shoppe}

{Only the Twirl Kit is on sale this week. Albums and Blogwear are NOT on sale}

Finally, don’t forget about our TEMPLATE CHALLENGE! You have until May 22nd to enter. We are loving all the layouts entered so far and are so glad you are enjoying the template!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a FANTASTIC day!

Without further ado, here is our very first Easy-As-Pie Template!

It includes:

  • Layered psd template with drop shadows
  • Layered psd template without drop shadows
  • Piece-A-Cake Quick Page (.png file)

(Click Image To Download or click HERE)

Here is the layout I created with the template. I mostly used the Sprout Kit ~ my new favorite! This will be the Piece-A-Cake page you will be receiving, without the pictures of my adorable little girl, of course!

And here is the layout Shabby Princess created with the Piece-A-Cake Page. I love how she added additional embellishments to the layout to personalize it! Isn’t her niece just precious!

I also enlisted the help of the Shabby Team Members to create some inspiration layouts for us, using the template. It was so fun to get them back and see how unique each layout was, even though it was based on the same design.

Katie created her layout using my other favorite Shabby Princess kit ~ Blossom!

Beckie also used the Sprout Kit (can you tell it is a shoppe favorite!)

Kathy used the Barefoot Kit to document the amazing quilting project she is working on right now

Shabby Princess also used it for pictures of her little man all dressed up!

Mariquita used the Sprout Kit and I just love how she was able to adjust the template to create an 8.5 x 11 Layout

Amazing inspiration, right!? Now it is your turn :o)

Remember you have until May 22nd to enter! Happy Scrapping!
