Hi all! :o) Kylie here with our latest TEMPLATE CHALLENGE! Can you believe it?? – we are just about to start our TWENTY-NINTH challenge!! Time flies, huh?!…especially when we’re all having so much fun scrapping template after template challenge! I hope you join us for this new challenge…lots of fun circles with this one! LOVE circles!!
To download…CLICK HERE (or just click on the preview image below)!

Now, let’s go over the GUIDELINES for our template challenges here at the Shoppe?! Then be sure to keep on scrolling for a whole bunch of fantastic inspiration from our super-talented Shabby Artists!
The ‘deadline’ for this challenge is DECEMBER 2nd :o) We will announce the template challenge winner on December 6th, when we share Template Challenge THIRTY. As you probably know, we announce the winner on the same day we debut a new template challenge. The ‘winner’ of the challenge will receive a $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe! Please note that for our template challenges…we select the ‘winner’ randomly (via random.org) – so everyone has a chance to win…beginners and experienced scrappers! It’s a great way to jump in and give digi scrapping (and templates) a try :o)
In order to be entered into the template challenge – you must post your layout in the Shabby Shoppe’s gallery (in the SHOPPE BLOG CHALLENGES gallery) and then post a comment HERE at our blog (on this post only) with a link to your layout in our gallery. This will enter you into the challenge :o) Please keep in mind that all layouts must contain at least 75% SP product (purchased or free). To be eligible for the challenge – you must scrap with the easy-as-pie layered template!
We also have several fun ways for you to obtain ‘EXTRA’ entries to the challenge (please note that in order to qualify for any EXTRA entries – you must first complete a layout with our easy-as-pie template and submit that to our gallery and blog) :o)
- For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have one of our blinkies (available by clicking on the blinkies link in the sidebar) either on your blog or in all of your forum signatures (be sure to include a link to your blog or signature in your post).
- For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have facebooked or twittered about our template challenge (don’t forget to include the link in your post).
- For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have blogged about our template challenge (again, be sure to add your blog link to your post).
So, that means that you have the possibility of entering the challenge up to 4 times! Just be sure each entry is a separate comment, as we will be using a random number generator to choose the winner. Be sure to get your entries in by MIDNIGHT (eastern time) on Decmeber 2nd, and again…the winner will be announced in early December (the 6th to be exact)!
I need to add that our blog SPAM protection has been extremely vigilant the last few months. If you do happen to add a comment and don’t see it straight away it has unfortunately been directed to our spam queue, awaiting approval. I check this queue daily, SO DON’T WORRY, I will catch it and add it back to this post so everyone can see it, and more importantly so that you have an entry. Apologies if this causes any confusion!
So again…here is your newest Easy-As-Pie Layered Template! <–click this to download OR click the preview image at the top of this post :o)
Your download includes:
In the event this is your first time scrapping with a layered template – SP has created a quick and simple tutorial on how to use our Easy-As-Pie templates in PSE and PS. You can find it HERE. We’ve tried to cover the basics, but if you have any questions, please let us know and one of the Shabby Team Members will do their best to answer it.
Guidelines – done and dusted!…so, let’s check out all that inspiration, shall we?!…starting with a page by me!

Onto layouts featuring life’s ups and downs…the bittersweet and the sweetie-pie sweet!

Hi everyone! Kylie here…and as promised yesterday, I ‘m back with the new (& free) NOVEMBER DESKTOP!
This time last year, I was telling you all that even though I’m in the midst of sweet, sweet spring right about now, I’m definitely an autumn girl at heart…always will be! So again I’ve reached for a colour palette of earthy greens, browns & a touch of burnt yellow and orange…and what better kit to grab from my scrapbooking supplies than the new & fall-icious MEMORY LANE…and some pretty little flowers from a couple of other fall and thanksgiving favourites – bountiful and the (free) plentiful collection!! :o) Hope you enjoy this new desktop the whole month though! – I certainly had lots of fun putting it together for you!

CLICK HERE to download the 1280 x 800 version
The cute pics of my niece playing with her sweet little puppy (who’s all grown up now!!), well, they are on the post previews only – your download will be blank, of course :o) That way – you can customize them with your own photos and messages. And remember that you can always find our latest free desktop by clicking the FREE DESKTOPS category located on the right side of the blog!
If you are interested in our free desktops, but have no idea how to insert your own photos – please visit our TUTORIALS page and refer to the USING THE PIECE-A-CAKE .PNG FILES TO CREATE AN ALBUM titles :o) We offer this tutorial in both screen shot and video format, for both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. And, while the tutorial is not specifically for the desktops – the concepts are very much the same…and should help out a lot!
Thanks so much for dropping by today…and if you missed yesterday’s special announcement keep scrolling down! Enjoy your weekend!! Kim will be joining you on Monday for LOTW. Looking forward to seeing who’s layout is chosen! Will it be yours?? :o)

Hello dear friends…Kylie here! :o) On behalf of SP and the whole Shabby Shoppe team it is my absolute privilege and pleasure to announce our new Shabby Artist Team members…we couldn’t be happier or more excited!!
First of all, we wish to THANK everyone who applied and expressed interest in joining our wonderful little team of Shabby Artists. SP and I were truly in awe of the quality of applicants…their amazing talent and enthusiasm. Each and every one of you made this team call such an enjoyable experience, and at the same time, made it all the more difficult for us to narrow down our favourites…beyond tough, and then some!! In the end it was NOT an easy decision…we thought long and hard about each and every applicant and truly wished that we could ask everyone to join us – WOW what a team that would be! lol! No doubt there will be more openings in the future, so we invite everyone to apply again at that point :o)
Please join with me in welcoming…

As luck would have it all five girls are already such a special part of the Shabby Shoppe family! :o) And, we are in no doubt whatsoever, that, if you frequent the blog and inspiration gallery you have long been admiring their gorgeous creations and enjoying the little life-snippets they so generously share…and now they will continue to inspire us as part of the Shabby Artist Team! YAY! They are all uniquely talented in so many ways…and beautiful and fun and sweet to boot. We are sooo lucky to have them…and really feel like we have added some truly-special and super-creative ladies to our already amazing team :o)
Coming soon…a new look team page with all our new and current Shabby Artists…so stay tuned for that! You will learn a bit more about the lovely girls that make up our (not-so-little-now) team…and you are sure to be inspired by what you see in each artists’ gallery!! :o) And as for the new girls, they will be here blogging very soon so get ready for weeks of jam-packed shabby-inspiration and shabby-FUN!!
A big THANK-YOU for stopping by the blog today and for saying hi to our new girls! I will see you back here tomorrow - same time – same place – to share our FREE November desktop…yes?, you read correctly – NOVEMBER!! ;o)

HAPPY MONDAY everyone! ~ Kylie here! :o) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend…and managed to fit a little scrappin’ time in! Today I’m here to share the Layout of the Week!…and I’ve got one very cooooool page to share…First Boots by RinRent :o)

Awesome scrapping, RinRent…WOW, your page has everything - technique, FUN details, and most of all, it is seriously cute-to-boot!! The combination of the blended extraction and the close-up pic of the boots makes a big impact and straight away you know exactly what this layout is all about. The playful grungitti, swirlie stitching and crossword phrases bring this page to life! LOVE IT!
There were so many fabulous layouts in the inspiration gallery last week (THANK YOU!)…it was so much FUN to browse through and soak up all the endless scrapping inspiration. And when it comes to extractions and the like, I’m afraid I’ve become somewhat of a ‘lazy’ scrapper, LOL!…I really can’t remember the last time I applied this technique? Can you?? And today’s LOTW winner wasn’t the only super-cool page that utilized this fun trick – JoyontheJourney‘s Color My World layout was another amazing example and well worth a look – check it out HERE - it’s incredible!!
Congratulations, RinRent! Watch your e-mail (and don’t forget to check your SPAM folders if you don’t see it!) for a $10 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe …and enjoy your shoppe-ing!
Well, it’s goodbye from me today…thanks for stopping by! Be sure to join us again on Wednesday, Rosy has a great inspiration post you won’t want to miss!
