Hello everyone!  It’s Kim here today with a product spotlight for you!  I am happy to be sharing the Wonderful kit with you, as this is a kit I’ve admired when I’ve seen layouts in the gallery.  But I confess… I haven’t used it until now!  Have you??  I really enjoyed having a new (to me) SP kit to work with, especially one that fits little boy layouts so well.  (Although, it’s not limited to boy layouts, as you will see from the inspiration below!)

I think you will agree this is a wonderful kit ;) and it is on sale for a limited time for $4.50.

Now how about a little inspiration?  Here is my layout made entirely with the Wonderful kit.  My favorite elements from this kit are the alpha and the scattered stars stamp!

And of course the Shabby Team has created more lovely inspiration for all of us.  This layout by Kylie not only has a very creative design, but it also has some inspiring words for the new year!

 Wouldn’t this album make a great grandparent brag book?  And these pages are perfect for those scrap projects you need to complete in a short timeframe.  If you’re not familiar with the piece-a-cake pages, they are flat files that you simply insert photos and text and – voila – you have a complete layout!  Here’s an example.  All I added to the page was my photo, journaling and title.

Hello everyone, it’s Jenelle here with a big “Happy New Year” to you all!!  My first post back for this new year and I am so excited, because I get to choose our layout of the week winner!  Although this is a quite a daunting task (as there are way too many great layouts to choose from), I do so enjoy going through the gallery and admiring all the wonderful talent here and drawing inspiration from you all – our wonderful community members.

One of our members, embellishedangel, has been a very busy scrapper this week and her gallery is bursting with new layouts, mostly from a recent trip to Seattle.  I’ve chosen her layout called ‘Holly’s Fish Catch’ as our LOTW.  Check it out!

First up, I have to say that I really love the colour scheme embellishedangel has chosen for this layout and the addition of those metal stars and brown stitching really ties the whole page together beautifully.   Plus, I really loved reading the journalling from their visit to the fish market – not your usual run-of-the-mill trip to market, I must say!  Lots of fun and a great memory documented.

 hey guys :o)  SP back again…this time with the ‘real’ PROJECT SCRAP 2012 launch, lol!  It’s been a whirlwind…trying to wrap-up project SCRAP 2011…and get 2012 going at the same time, lol…but I am truly excited about it…and hope you guys are, too :o)  I soooooo enjoyed project SCRAP 2011…and LOOOOVE my album!  I haven’t had much time to visit the gallery to know if many of you have posted album pics…but I really hope you do – we would ALL love to see!  Anyhoo…this post is about project SCRAP 2012 - so i’ll move on, lol :o)

project SCRAP 2012 is going to work very much the same as 2011 did!  There will be monthly templates…and next January – some cover templates as well :o)  We’ll share the ‘new’ templates at the END of the month (for example – the February templates will be shared at the END of February)…and then I’ll do a ‘check-in’ post with layout examples early in the next month!  That keeps us all up-to-date and inspired :o)  It really is as simple as that!  Well, you do have to take your TWO photos per WEEK (easy-peasy, right?)!  We supply the monthly templates (two each month – to create a ‘spread’) and try our best to keep everyone motivated and involved!  We can only do so much though…you can HELP by posting YOUR layouts in the gallery!  We have a new project SCRAP 2012 gallery setup for you…so be sure to post any 2012 layouts there!

So, to start off project SCRAP 2012…we have our new, January templates!  LOVE THESE and can’t wait to see your pages :o)  here ya go:

NOTE:  if you are completely NEW to our fun (and practical) SCRAPPING PROJECT – please check out THIS POST…it will fill you in on all of the details and offer some great info, and hopefully help everything to make sense!  It was our official project SCRAP launch post last year – and I rambled on forever…and didn’t want to add all of that here again, lol!  But, be sure to CHECK IT OUT as it spells everything out (hopefully clearly, lol)!

I’ll be checking in with you guys on your January pages around the middle of February…and hope we have TONS of layouts in the GALLERY!  I truly believe this is a WONDERFUL and PRACTICAL way to get our photos scrapped…or I can assure you – I wouldn’t be doing it, lolol!  Life is so busy…but this project allows me to stay up-to-date with ease…and best of all – I get to avoid that awful feeling of BEING BEHIND (you guys know how difficult it is to catch up once you fall behind in your scrapping…and while this might not completely solve that…it will keep you from getting even MORE behind, lol)!

Alright…that does it for now…would LOOOOOOVE for you guys to ‘sign-up’ for project SCRAP 2012 with a comment on this post :o)  We love having some idea of how many might be joining us…AND, it will help to keep you motivated, too - i promise, lol!  there is something about ‘signing up’ that makes it more ‘real’…and you end up feeling accountable (to yourself, if no one else, lol)!  Of course you do not have to…but it’s fun to ‘get to know’ all of our project SCRAP buddies!

Kylie here! :o)  Just popping in on this lovely Friday to share the new FEBRUARY desktop with you all!  YES, only a few days away until February ~ a brand new month…full of smiles, laughs and a little extra LOVE…oh and an extra day too! :o)  I had fun designing this cute little “Valentine’s inspired” desktop with SP!  We hope you like it too…and enjoy having it as your desktop the whole month through! NEW to desktops?? If you are interested in our free desktops, but have no idea how to insert your own photos – please visit our TUTORIALS page and refer to the USING THE PIECE-A-CAKE .PNG FILES TO CREATE AN ALBUM titles :o)  We offer this tutorial in both screen shot and video format, for both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.  And, while the tutorial is not specifically for the desktops – the concepts are very much the same…and should help out a lot! 

As a little reminder, the little purple heart on the tag and the cute (but definitely not recent) pics of my sweet little niece are on my example only – yours will be blank, of course :o)  That way – you can add your own photos and messages for a very personalized, and much loved, desktop.  Have fun working with this one!  And remember that you can always find our latest free desktop by clicking the FREE DESKTOPS category located on the right side of the blog!

hey guys…SP here this morning!  today was supposed to be the KICKOFF of project SCRAP 2012…but due to circumstances beyond my control (seriously…WHY can I not control everything?  lolol) – it has to be postponed until SATURDAY :o)  no big deal, right?  only two days later :o)  so – i’ll make this one short and sweet so i can get back to work on that post for you guys!  again, SOOOOOO excited and looking forward to scrapping 2012 with all of YOU :o)  see ya on Saturday….XOXO – SP!
