Hi everyone :) Rachel here to bring you a fun little trick for making stamping look more realistic!
Lets get right to it!
-
When your layout is done, and you are ready to finish off with the little details, take your ‘stamp’ ~ in this case the 2009. (My tip: I merged my seperate 2009 numbers to make it easier to work with) Now duplicate your ‘stamp’ layer (right click on your layer and duplicate layer OR ctrl+J)
-
Drag one copy of your stamp layer below the layer you are stamping and the other right above the layer you are on. (Here 2009 is above the pattern paper shape and on the green paper)

-
Clip (Ctrl+G ) the top stamp layer to the ‘pattern’ paper layer (see above photo)
-
Take your bottom unclipped stamp layer and using the eraser OR masking tool (at 100% opacity). Erase a small line between the two (see below photo)

Here is my final layout

Hope you enjoyed my little stamping trick…it is super simple, yet you’ll find it really does bring that perfect touch of realism to your page!
Thanks for checking in with the Blog today! SP will be here tomorrow with her Project SCRAP check-in!

Hi everyone! :o) Kylie here with a brand new TEMPLATE CHALLENGE! We’re always excited to bring you a fun, new template challenge each and every month here at the Shabby Shoppe blog! This month, we have Easy-As-Pie Template Challenge SEVENTEEN!! And, I have to tell you – I had a lot of fun designing this template…and even more fun scrapping with it! We would love you to join in all the fun too! :o) You will have several weeks to scrap your own page and enter the challenge…and remember, our templates are just a starting point! If you are not a big fan of ‘clustering’ or ’scattering’…simply remove/delete a few of those layers. Of course, if you like more…by all means – add, add, ADD! ;o) Do you have a ‘portrait’ photograph (instead of ‘landscape’) that you really want to scrap?…why not rotate the page…too easy! Be as creative as you like, experiement, have a bit of fun with it…SCRAP IT YOUR WAY!!
To download…CLICK HERE (or simply click the preview image below)!

Before I share all the gorgeous inspiration from our wonderful Shabby Artists… let’s go over the GUIDELINES for our template challenges here at the Shoppe?!
The ‘deadline’ for this challenge is OCTOBER 30th :o) We will announce the template challenge winner on November 3rd, when we share Template Challenge EIGHTEEN! As you probably know, we now announce the winner on the same day we debut a new template challenge. The ‘winner’ of the challenge will receive a $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe! Please note that for our template challenges… we select the ‘winner’ randomly – so everyone has a chance to win… beginners and experienced scrappers! It’s a great way to jump in and give digi scrapping (and templates) a try :o)
In order to be entered into the template challenge – you must post your layout in the Shabby Shoppe’s gallery (in the SHOPPE BLOG CHALLENGES gallery) and then post a comment HERE at our blog (on this post only) with a link to your layout in our gallery. This will enter you into the challenge :o) Please keep in mind that all layouts must contain at least 75% SP product (purchased or free). To be eligible for the challenge – you must scrap with the easy-as-pie layered template!
We also have several fun ways for you to obtain ‘EXTRA’ entries to the challenge (please note that in order to qualify for any EXTRA entries – you must first complete a layout with our easy-as-pie template and submit that to our gallery and blog) :o)
- For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have one of our blinkies (available by clicking on the blinkies link in the sidebar) either on your blog or in all of your forum signatures (be sure to include a link to your blog or signature in your post).
- For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have facebooked or twittered about our template challenge (don’t forget to include the link in your post).
- For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have blogged about our template challenge (again, be sure to add your blog link to your post).
So, that means that you have the possibility of entering the challenge up to 4 times! Just be sure each entry is a separate comment, as we will be using a random number generator to choose the winner. Be sure to get your entries in by MIDNIGHT (eastern time) on OCTOBER 30th, and again…the winner will be announced in early November (the 3rd to be exact)!
So again…here is your newest Easy-As-Pie Layered Template! <–click this to download OR click the preview image at the top of this post :o)
Your download includes:
In the event this is your first time scrapping with a layered template – SP has created a quick and simple tutorial on how to use our Easy-As-Pie templates in PSE and PS. You can find it HERE. We’ve tried to cover the basics, but if you have any questions, please let us know and one of the Shabby Team Members will do their best to answer it.
So, how about some more inspiration from the girls (visit the Shabby Artist Gallery for more information about each layout – we will be uploading throughout the day/night)…
First we have Shabby Princess…love, love, LOVE her precious layout! An absolutely beautiful mother and son photograph, beautifully scrapped with Gracie…a treasured page, for sure! If there was ever a way to perfectly scrap ‘LOVE’…this has to be it!

How awesome is this page?!! Sweet Rachel brings her own creative scrapping style to the new template…it is beyond re-freshing, and so is her use of Gracie too! And just look at that adorable puppy-dog face! Oh my!

I used the new Gracie kit for one of my pages too! (Same template, same kit…but three different looks!!) I went for a more organic (somewhat, tropical) look for this take on Template Challenge 17.

And for my other page I chose the sweetness of the Blossom collection and had way too much fun with all the cute butterflies!

The wonderful Anna crafted this fantastic back to school page using the current Product Spotlight kit – Silly Boy :: Nut-Nut! Anna’s rockin’ that kit!

And to round off our gorgeous examples, a second page from Anna! Here she kept it nice and simple by taking away the layered clusters and rotating the template to suit her beautiful photograph. Stunning job Anna!! …oh and I gotta say your kids are the sweetest!!! :o)

Thanks girls! :o) Now that you’ve had a peek at our pages – ALL so different and ALL so beautiful!…we so hope you enjoy scrapping your own versions too! We really can’t wait to see your pages hit the gallery!
{ Don’t FORGET to link up to this post only to enter template challenge SEVENTEEN }
Time now to announce the winner of TEMPLATE CHALLENGE SIXTEEN! – YAY!! This time round, the ‘lucky’ random number was 39… and that means that oaklanefarm’s Swim Team Meet #3 layout was selected! :o) Awesome use of the template…I’m loving all the extra pics and journaling from top to bottom! A wonderfully scrapped page to celebrate a fun swim meet – Go TEAM!! And CONGRATULATIONS, oaklanefarm!! You should have received a $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe in your email box (be sure to check spam folders) this morning…ENJOY the shoppe-ing and thanks for joining in the challenge fun! And, as always…a big, big THANKS goes to everyone who participated in the last challenge…so many AMAZING pages! We LOVE that!!

We are so happy that you stopped by today and hope that you have TONS of FUN with this newest template! I have a feeling I will be scrapping with this one again in the not-to-distant future, lol! And, of course, we’ll be here on Monday with LOTW! So, have a great ‘end of the week’! Bye for now! :o)

Hi there :) and welcome! It’s Anna here with another exciting product spotlight!
Take a look at SP’s Silly Boy :: Nut-Nut (on SALE for only $4.25…for a limited time)!

Here is what SP had to say about this collection when it was first released:
I often refer to our son as a ‘nut-nut’ when he is acting silly…not too long ago…he just looked at me and called me a NUT NUT (I’m ALWAYS acting silly)…which I thought was hilarious…so…there you have it :) There are some great boy colors here…that are still nice and soft!!! Very versatile, too! Lots of fun chipboard accents here…as well as a really cute digi stamp (my fave piece – he he)! The alphabet paper is soooo perfect for all types of vocabulary pages…school pages, etc! Let your imagination run wild! Hope you love this one as much as I do! Also…there are two versions of the quilt squares paper included in the kit…one WITH stitching and one WITHOUT the stitching :)
I had great fun scrapping with Silly Boy :: Nut-Nut! Take a look…

Silly Boy :: Nut-Nut is not just for little boy layouts! With just a few adjustments, I created this one.

Kylie rocked the kit with her fabulous “goofy boy” layout!

…and finally, nothing but perfection from SP!

I hope you have enjoyed today’s Silly Boy :: Nut-Nut Product Spotlight!
Kylie will be here on Thursday to announce the winner of Easy-As-Pie Template Challenge SIXTEEN and post a brand-new FREE template and challenge!
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
