Hello Shabby Shoppers!  It’s Beckie bringing you this week’s product spotlight!  I selected a gorgeous classic collection for today’s showcase…flea market Chic!

I love so many things about this collection!  The wonderfully comfortable colors, the worn edged chipboard alphabet, the border and frame stamps – and my absolute FAVE thing about the whole kit is that sweet tiny floral paper!  But as always, my fellow shabby artists always impress me and give me so many new ideas.  So I hope you see something here that inspires you to pick up this classic collection while it’s ON SALE this week for only $4.50!

And finally, my layout.  This kit was PERFECT for scrapping about my recent visit with my closest girlfriend from college.  We don’t have the opportunity to visit as often as we’d like, so we spent hours just chatting and catching up.  And tripping down memory lane, of course!  We realized we’ve officially known each other half our lives!  Gah!  18 years (yes, we’re both 36!).

Hi everyone, Rachel here with my very first blog post ever!!! So bear with me if I am not as great at this as all the other amazing girls :) I had so much fun poring over all the wonderful layouts in the gallery this week.  So many amazing scrappers sharing their memories with us,  I love it! It finally came down to this beautiful layout for this week’s LAYOUT OF THE WEEK winner!

Playzone by mama2emlj This layout is so cute, it draws you in and keeps you looking at all the little details. Not to mention the cutie pie pics! I love how her papers and colors coordinate with the colors in her photos so well, the placement of her elements and that sideways title! Perfection :)

 hey guys :o)  SP here again today with our new, free desktop for JUNE!  June!  Did I really just ‘say’ June?!  lol…it is RIGHT around the CORNER…and with the change of the month, comes feelings of summer and picnics and outdoor fun!  And, for me, I say ‘BRING ON THE BRIGHTS’ lol!  I tend to visualize the seasons by COLOR (anyone else do that?)!  So, when I think of Fall/Autumn – I ‘see’ burnt oranges, golden yellows, browns, spice reds!  Winter – I immediately get images of cool blues, greys, and muted purples (you can throw in an icy pink, too lol)!  Spring…it’s all about the pinks, aquas, greens, corals, etc.!  And then…SUMMER!  I see picnic, beach and lemonade colors, lol!  BRIGHT reds, yellows, oranges, greens, blues – you name it!  That is where the inspiration came from for the JUNE DESKTOP :o)  These colors just make me happy and ready for the heat!  It has a bit of a ‘country picnic’ feel to it, what with the plaids and ditsy florals!  But, the addition of the polka dots gives it a little whimsy…while the damasks add a little elegance!  However you ‘SEE’ it…I just hope you ENJOY it :o)  I loved designing it for you…so have fun adding your photos and/or extra touches (plenty of space left on this one to add a poem, journaling, to-do-list, notes, etc.)!

hi guys, SP here :o)  And, I’m very happy to be sharing the MAY templates with you for project SCRAP 2011!  Seriously…still in shock that we are almost finished with MAY!  It’s been a good month here, albeit BUSY as EVER!  We tend to have lots of parties and celebrations during May…so it feels very non-stop, lol!  That feeling generally carries on into June and July as well, lol!  So, I guess I will just start looking forward to August for a little ‘rest’?  LOL!  Hopefully not…but it sure seems that way sometimes (yep, I know you girls know just what I’m talking about)!  BUT…that doesn’t mean that we can’t find time to SCRAP, too?  right?!  I tell ya…this project SCRAP is helping me soooooo much!  I have truly NEVER been so up-to-date on my photos/events in my LIFE, lol!  So, I am LOVING it and hope you are, too :o)  I also find that the project is helping to motivate me to take more pics!  I keep reminding myself that I do not want to go to work on my templates…and not have enough photos, lolol!  Quite the opposite has been true for me so far…I spend a LOT of time trying to narrow down my pics to my fave eight or nine :o)  If you have the same problem, remember that you can always add extra pages to your 2011 album!  I’m a little worried about just how HUGE mine will end up being…what with all of the ‘extra’ pages and photos, lolol!  hmmmm…that’s a GOOD problem to have though :o)

Alright…how about I share those May templates with you now? :o)  How do you like my ‘Colors of the Carribean’ color palette?  Wishing I was there right now (and that’s literally where the inspiration came from…my daydreams, lol)!  LOVE these and hope you do, too!

Hey guys…SP here :o)  So, if you have been following the blog…you probably know that we (the blog) recently had our FIRST birthday!  The Shoppe’s birthday is in May as well (though the Shabby Shoppe is turning SIX lol)!  Anyhoo – we kicked off our BIRTHDAY BASH last week with a gorgeous and free bit of word whimsy :o)  As I mentioned then…we will be sharing more fun and free goodies with you over the next couple of weeks…and today I am super happy to bring you installment two of our birthday bash ‘gifts’ :o)  Remember…we will be sharing special little gifts to help you create the perfect BIRTHDAY layout when all is said and done!

So, you already have the super fun word whimsy…now – you get the new (and free) PAPER PACK!  I put together five new papers to coordinate with the AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER collection (currently on SALE until the end of the month)…and you can either use them now – or wait until the end of the month (maybe a little into June as well) when we have shared the rest of the goodies!  I really wanted to give you something that would extend the life of the An Affair to Remember kit!  As I’ve said many times…even though it is a ‘birthday/celebration’ kit…I use it ALL THE TIME in my everyday layouts!  I find it to be soooooo versatile and practical!  But, since it does have plenty of birthday-themed items in it already…I thought it would be fun to share some papers that give you lots of options for non-celebration layouts, too!  So, I truly hope you enjoy these papers!  Here’s another look at the collection of five papers…
