Thank you for your lovely article. It’s so nice to hear about “mature” digi scrappers like myself. I may have missed our children’s childhoods, but here come the grandkids! I too have scrapped more pages of our grandson than his mom, our daughter. Love your layouts and am so lifting a couple. Very inspirational Valerie!

Thanks so much for the honor of being the April Gallery Girl. This was so much fun to work on.

Shabby Princess: Here is the link to the layout I did using the photo of all five of us mentioned in the post. The “15 of us” linked to the Christmas card, but here is the layout I was talking about:

Beckie: I am continually working on an album about me. I have several layouts done, some of which are posted here. Others aren’t as they don’t contain 75% SP products. I still have a lot more to do about specifics like where and how I grew up, what my life was like, etc. I have done a lot more about things and people who are important to me and why. It is an ongoing project full of journaling and I encourage everyone to start that project now. Even if you’re much younger than me, it’s better because your youth isn’t so far in the past. And as you age, you’ll continue to have pages to add.

WOW Valerie! I’m SOOO happy to get to know you better! I just LOVE your layouts :) You and your husband sound like absolutely wonderful parents and grandparents, I love your focus on family. My mom also scraps, she’s more caught up on my own kids’ albums than I am, LOL – but I really want for her to do an album about HERSELF – and I bet your family would appreciate that as well. Don’t miss the opportunity to document who you are (just like this Blog page, LOL!) for all of your future generations!
I was a paper scrapper before I went digi and now I just can’t imagine having to create a page “the old fashioned way”, LOL! What, I have to FIND my scissors before I can “crop”? What, there’s no un-do!?? I have to actually pound in this eyelet? ha ha.

I’m so, so happy you’re here at the Shoppe with us – your work is so inspiring :)
