Hi Francine!

Thanks for your question...but to be completely honest I'm having a hard time remembering exactly what I did...SORRY!! I'm pretty sure that I didn't use any glue on the main wood panels. After painting them (and letting them dry) they all fitted together very snug - it's still very strong and secure today. See my reply to Dani below...it seems no glue was required.

For the little box inserts I did add some double-sided tape to the outside to secure the paper that I wrapped around. I then ran a little craft glue down the sides to seal the final overlap/seam at the back etc.

If you are still having issues maybe email Kaisercraft for their advise. With my 9-draw project I had no issues, so maybe the 12-draw is a little different?? Here is a link to their contact page: http://www.kaisercraft.com.au/newsite/contact.php

I hope you can finish your project with ease and enjoy the gorgeous project that it is!!!

Thanks for stopping by! K :o)

I just bought the Kaiser kraft 12 Drawer Storage Box. How do I hold the wood shelves together? They keep falling apart and then I have to start all over again. What type of glue did you use to adhere the back part of the piece to the sides?

Thanks Dani!!! Glad you enjoyed the post! I found it really easy to put together. It took a little over a day to do - mainly due to waiting for the coats of paint to dry. But it's something that you can do bit by bit over a weekend or week - no worries. The pieces are flat-packed and you just paint and assemble. The drawers are strong cardboard (or chipboard in 'scrapping' terms) and are easily folded up, taped and then covered with the paper of you choice. Then just decorate with bling as much as you want! Tip: I used a small hammer to CAREFULLY hit the wooden pieces into place - once painted it takes a bit of extra force (but nothing too dramatic!) to slot in, even after sanding back the joins. Have heaps of fun putting yours together and if you'd like to share the finish product - posting it in the gallery for us to see would be so wonderful!!!

I love this! Was it hard to do? I love the idea that was posted of trinket storage for a little girl's room. My daughter is still a toddler and she already has a collection of barrettes, bracelets, elastics etc!!

Absolutely adorable. I went to their web site and see other really cute storage ideas as well. I'll have to peruse their retailers to see who they have in the US.
