Jenelle – you rock. Love ya girl! You use a p&s too? Gotta get creative, don’t you? lol. Dear Santa is right…I’m even pouring over craigslist (has craigslist gone international?) for used camera deals. It’s the economic times, the fact that we’re single income, etc. Ahhh, I can dream though….hey, at least I’m lucky enough to be able to get pictures of them at all. Such a special time with my girls, with me being at home with them. I’m so blessed. :)

Nah, not too hard now. Girls are doing triple triple combos these days. (Dating myself here) I skated when there still was figures not just freestyle skating. I think I skated up to about 19. A beautiful sport. I’m more of a traditionalist with the sport and wish they would bring back figures, but overall the sport is a lot healthier now, they have so much more knowledge at their disposal, etc. They train differently now, use multiple coaches. Sigh, I think I still would be doing it if I had grown up now instead of waaaaay back then. Lol. I miss it. It sometimes is almost too hard to go back into a rink I miss it that much. My first passion (digiscrap my second, lol!)

I was wondering if anyone would catch that – yep, competitive figure skater for years, starting age 4 I think. I haven’t put skates on in years though. May have to, I bet Laura would love it. My sister skated too and teaches now.

YAY!!! So excited to see that it is you acmckelvey (but now I guess I can call you Carrie?!) I was hoping the November Gallery Girl would be you. Fantastic choice SP and a great interview with some more wonderful layouts by Carrie. You are a true inspiration and also a very supportive gallery member, love getting comments from you – thank you. Nice to hear that you use a point and shoot camera too and take such great photos with it (I only have a P&S too….sigh… Dear Santa….) ok, wait – you’ve landed a double axel?? as in figure skating? HELLO?…that’s like crazy hard, right?!! tell us more!!

I totally LOVE all of your layouts – several of the new ones will be into my faves as soon as I get to the gallery to mark them :) Pinkalicious – HOW CUTE! I have a little one who worships Pink and has asked for all of “-alicious” books for Christmas…might have to lift that one!
