Whew…that’s a lot to cover in one post, LOL! Hey guys…SP here :o)
BEFORE I FORGET (which is so very likely, lol) – I wanted to remind you guys that the blog is taking a VACATION for the next two weeks! We’ll be back on September 13th…all refreshed and inspired and READY TO BLOG! But, I will STILL be posting the LOTW on both Saturdays…so don’t stop uploading your beautiful layouts to the gallery :o) When we return…you won’t want to miss a fabulous product spotlight…super cool tips and techniques…a NEW template challenge and more! So, don’t forget about us, lolol! I just wanted to give the girls (and myself) a little ‘breather’ during back-to-school!

Kylie and I designed this month’s desktop (mostly Kylie, lol) and we hope you love it! It combines papers from the DARLING paper collection with elements from the HOPSCOTCH kit (some slightly recolored) :o)

I know that in the past, I have said that I would never choose a LOTW again, lol! And, I have to say that even though it is soooooooo difficult to choose only one from all of the super fabulous layouts – I find myself somewhat enjoying it lately, lol! I guess just because it affords me the time to really look through all of the pages (something that sadly, I haven’t had much time to do lately :o( read: CALENDAR SEASON, lol)! So, this week was extra tough because it seems like you girls are filling the gallery even more than usual (hmmmm, did you know it was going to be my turn and try to make it even tougher for me? lolol)! I know that that sounds like some kind of ’stock’ statement…but it is truly heartfelt! I know that a couple of months ago…I could click on layouts for the past 7 days…and there were be one or two pages (about 30-40 layouts)! This morning, I clicked on it…and there were 103 layouts to choose from (well, of course, i excluded the shabby artist pages)! That is amazing and soooooo cool to me! But, at the same time…sheesh, it made this difficult, lol! Seriously – I admired so many layouts this week – so many that were touching and heartfelt…many that were super creative and lots that were just plain fun! I saw quite a few from what I would consider some of my favorite shoppe scrappers – but I also noticed quite a few from new gallery posters – who I am sure are soon to become favorites, too, lol!
So, without anymore rambling…let me show you this week’s LOTW!
I selected the amazing georgeinci’s YOU’RE 2RIFFIC page for several reasons! First of all – it is gorgeous :o) She totally knows how to rock multi-photo pages! Somehow, she is always able to fit so many photos on the page – while at the same time – having a fabulous design with lots of fun details and embellishments (and her title work is always spot on)! Also, over the past few months…I feel like the precious and unbelievably cute Evie Mae has become somewhat of a poster child for the Shoppe’s gallery, he he! You can’t not recognize that angelic face and the genuinely perfect smile! Mommy does such a fabulous job taking pics of her (and, her handsome brother, Archie, too)! Finally…this layout just perfectly tells the story of the day – and the beautiful photos illustrate it so well (look at the soft lighting and the details she captured)! I could just not let Evie Mae’s birthday week pass without honoring her (and mommy) here on the blog! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH for being such a wonderful part of the Shoppe :o) Be sure to see georgeinci’s complete gallery for more fabulous layouts (including more from the birthday…I promise, you’ll be inspired)!

First, I just wanted to say how totally and completely awed I have been by all the layouts that you guys submitted! It has been a joy to see how everyone interprets the template differently! Some get super creative and turn it and twist it (lol) and others stick to the basic conept! And, either way – the end result is awesome! You can see all of the layouts HERE! Thank you so much to all who shared their layouts and participated in the challenge! I sooooo hope you had fun and enjoyed working with it! (template challenge five will be announced/shared on September 16th)
Without further ado, I would like to announce the winner of the $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe! As always, our template challenge winner is chosen by a random number generator – we just think that makes it fun and fair for EVERYONE who participates (and allows for the extra entru options that we offer)! Thank you so much for another beautiful desktop wallpaper! I love them all and everything you make! You are my very favorite! My baby sister was just visiting and she wanted me to teach her how to digital scrapbook. We had a lot of fun and she is now a new fan of yours. I had her download the free kits from shabbyprincess.com to learn and practice with. She loves them and is having a blast learning. She is now ready to start shopping at the shabby shoppe. I know just the kit that would be perfect for pictures from her and her husbands cruise! Thank you for all that you do! Waiting for your new products is like waiting for Christmas morning!

Yea!!! I loved both of those layouts when I saw them in the gallery. And I have to say I the new desktop is my favorite – the colors and the layering are all simply perfect!!! I must ask how you turned all the dots on the scallop border green. Did you use the marquee tool and duplicate the green dot several times? I am so going to scraplift the desktop into a 2-page layout!
Thank you so much for the September desktop background. It’s gorgeous !! (as usual LOL)

Shabby Princess – You have brought tears to my eyes with your touching words about my pages and I am honoured to be a part of the Shabby Shoppe world! My work is truely about my family but I love to share it with like-minded folk who appreciate why I chose that alpha or spent half an hour fiddling with the position of one element – and there’s not a day goes by when I’m not inspired by the fabulous LOs in the gallery. The team are amazing, the products are fabulous (the best on the web!) and the Shabby Shoppe community is soooo inspirational!
Thankyou again – you’ve made my week! xxx

Thanks again…keep inspiring us! XOXO {SP}
