Sunday, August 22, 2010
hey guys…SP here :o) just wanted to let ya know that we have some new products in the Shoppe for you! I think the easiest way to check them out is via our NEWSLETTER <– click it :o) But, I will share bits and pieces here, too! Thanks soooooo much for peeking – have a WONDERFUL and HAPPY week!
I wanted to mention that both of these products (as well as the HOPSCOTCH kit) are on sale until 08.28.2010!!!
And, here is just a little bit of inspiration…you can find more in the Shabby Artist’s Gallery :o)
most of these layouts were created with the HopScotch KIT and the new School Additions…
and, here are some example layouts created with our new collection of Easy-as-Pie layered templates (HEARTLAND)…
And, finally…wanted to share a little hybrid project that I had fun working on this past week :o) I have been taking an online photography workshop (so much fun) and needed something to organize all of my lessons and notes, etc. I purchased the chipboard binder HERE…and it was soooooo easy to put together! <and yes, I did feel pressure to take GOOD pics of the project, since it is about photography, lolol> YOU CAN FIND MORE INFO AND INSTRUCTIONS HERE!

hmmmmm….guess you really didn’t need to click on the NEWSLETTER after all, LOLOL! I think i covered it all here :o) again, thank you for visiting the blog! Check back tomorrow for one of Lu’s awesome color study posts!

As a teacher, I LOVE this! I would also love to know how you did the binder. That would be the perfect way to decorate a binder for my lesson plans or a folder for substitutes!

Oh please do a post on how you made the binder!!! It is fabulous. How did you get the paper onto the binder? I love that idea, it would certainly make all my binders better and I’d love to do it. I just have no idea how to get paper onto a binder so that it is protected and sealed, and not sticky and such. When I’ve got to cram it in my bookbag would it survive? I love this idea though!
Thank you so much!

Hey Lelia :o) Thanks so much…and I just posted more info and instructions here:

I hope that helps! I mentioned it in the post – but thought i’d add here, too…that if you will be carrying your binder in your book bag…definitely do not add any embellishments, etc. as they are sure to get knocked off! But, you should be just fine with a print that has been mod podged! you’ll just want to be sure and let the mod podge dry completely for a couple of days…and depending on your humidity level and temp – it might still feel tacky even then :o)
HAVE FUN and be sure to share!
