Thursday Thievery!

Trish here bring not only my second blog post, but also our second in our new Thursday Thievery series!

I’m so excited about these posts because a. I love seeing pages that inspire others and b. I love attempting new things I might not thought to try.

This time I chose Beckie’s layout “Our Peach Tree” which is not only so incredibly cute, but it was also one of the layouts that really prompted me to apply to be on the Shabby Princess’ Pre-Team. It showcased the kit Beckie used so well, and oh my word look at all those papers she used! Y’all might not know this about me, but I am one huge paper loving fool. The brighter, more colorful, and the bolder the pattern the more I love it.

Now, scraplifts aren’t exactly easy for me to do. I want to stay as spot on to the page I am lifting as possible, which is silly since the pages I try to lift are nothing like my own personal style so I get frustrated and tend to want to bang my head on my desk as I sit and think “Why do I hate myself?” lol Obviously I’m comfortable with my own style. I would have never thought to create blocks of papers like that to decorate my page and the idea just really tickled my creative juices, so when we started this series I had to pick this page to do so I’d have the excuse to lift it.

So here is my lift of the page:

I love my lift, but I swear I sat here staring at it for an hour thinking well, maybe it needs more. lol So I added more, in the end it looked NOTHING like Beckie’s page seeing as how you could only barely see the paper blocks. I ended up taking almost all of it back off and decided I loved it… even if there weren’t a gazillion things on it.

If you want some more rocking Beckie-spiration check out her gallery which is filled with the yummy goodness.

Here are some more pages by the team to show you how they got inspiration from Beckie’s page:

So, yeah, that’s all I got for y’all. lol No witty exit line, just be sure to stop back by in two weeks to see what we steal (I mean borrow inspiration) from next!
