Easy-As-Pie Template Challenge {THREE}

Hi everyone, Nicole here!

We are excited to bring you a new template challenge this month here at the Shabby Shoppe blog!  You will have three weeks to scrap with our template and post a comment back :o)  We will announce the template challenge winner on July 22th !  The ‘winner’ of the challenge will receive a $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe!  Please note that for our template challenge…we select the ‘winner’ randomly – so everyone has a great chance to win!

In order to be entered into the template challenge – you must post your layout in the Shabby Shoppe’s gallery (in the SHOPPE BLOG CHALLENGES gallery) and then post a comment HERE at our blog (on this post only) with a link to your layout in our gallery.  This will enter you into the challenge :o)  Please keep in mind that all layouts must contain at least 75% SP product (purchased or free).  And, to be eligible for the challenge – you must scrap with the easy-as-pie template (the layered template)…and not the piece-a-cake page (quick page).  Although – we would still LOVE to see your layouts with the piece-a-cake page, too!

We also have several fun ways for you to obtain ‘extra’ entries to the challenge (please note that in order to qualify for any EXTRA entries – you must first complete a layout with our easy-as-pie template and submit that to our gallery and blog) :o)

  • For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have one of our blinkies (available by clicking on the blinkies link in the sidebar) either on your blog or in all of your forum signatures (be sure to include a link to your blog or signature in your post).
  • For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have facebooked or twittered about our template challenge (don’t forget to include the link in your post).
  • For an extra entry, leave a SEPARATE comment letting us know that you have blogged about our template challenge (again, be sure to add your blog link to your post).

You have the possibility of entering the challenge up to 4 times! Just be sure each entry is a separate comment, as we will be using a random number generator to choose the winner.  Be sure to get your entries in by MIDNIGHT (eastern time) on July 21st, as the winner will be selected early the morning of July 22nd!

But, that’s not all! We are also sharing the layout that I designed with the template. The Piece-A-Cake page will be included in the download of the template, so no extra steps are required to obtain it. It is just our little way of saying thank you for participating in our challenge.

Shabby Princess has also created a quick and simple tutorial on how to use our Easy-As-Pie templates in PSE and PS. You can find it HERE. We tried to cover the basics, but if you have any questions, please let us know and one of the Shabby Team Members will do their best to answer it.

Here’s your newest Easy-As-Pie Template! <–click this to download OR click the image below :o)

It includes:

  • Layered psd template with drop shadows
  • Layered psd template without drop shadows
  • Piece-A-Cake Quick Page (.png file)

Here is my layout featuring the Piece-a-Cake Page.

I used the Happy Trails Collection with scattering of elements from various other kits.

And, to give you even more inspiration, here are a few layouts that the fabulous SP and her Creative Team Members have come up with…

Layout by SP using the Modish Girl Collection

Layout by Kylie using the Summer Cottage Collection &  new Add-On

Layout by Lu using the Sweetie Pie Collection

Layout by Anna using the Wonderful Collection

Layout by Katie using the Bella Collection

Layout by Mariquita using An Affair To Remember

Amazing Inspiration, right?! I’m so excited to see what you all come up with. I hope you enjoy using the template as much as I did making it!

Happy Scrapping!!

{Remember to link up to this post only to enter the contest}

Be sure to stop by tomorrow, as Lu will be posting about a huge and amazing hybrid project that she has been working on!

    I’m curious what ‘corners’ were used on the very first layout, directly under the template. I have the Happy Trails kit and don’t see them there. I would appreciate if someone would let me know. Thanks so much!

      Hi Mary :o) Thanks so much for stopping by! and, if you are referring to Nicole’s layout (adorable little girl, cute as a button title) – those are from the BAREFOOT collection :o) I hope that helps! thanks again!

    This was so fun but tricky too. I’m not all that confident with clustering and so on, so it was a strain for me to try and figure out what goes where and what matches. But it made me look at some of the kits in more detail.
    Thanks again for the inspiration. :) Love your work.

      you did a GREAT job, Anne :o) And, it’s funny because when Nicole sent the template to me…she said that it was much more complex/detailed/busy and she decided to make it a little more simple! i know that i’m so happy she did because it ended up being perfect! i’m excited to see all of the layouts from this one, i know they will be so fun and pretty…and yours is no exception! as always, thanks a bunch!

    Hello, I am new to digiscrapbooking (and have never tried scrapbooking either), but I have done a course in Graphic Design, so I’m familiar with Photoshop. Last year my husband and I travelled around Australia with our three lovely daughters and I’m hoping to digiscrapbook a few albums of some of the best highlights of the trip (there were so many…) I have used the Easy-as-pie template and uploaded a file to the gallery called Dressing Up by Christy on July 2nd.
