Hi Beckie,
You said: "In the JPEG Options box that pops up, set the quality to 10 (I read somewhere that this is “good enough”, and I’ve printed hundreds of layouts this way and they all look beautiful!)."

Thanks. I always set mine to 100! It's nice to know that 10 is good enough.

You might not be an expert but you talk on a level people can understand, especially this people. : ) I like simple. Now to go and make my own action. For future ideas I would love to know how to make a style. The tutorials are so hard out there for me to understand. Thanks for the great tip.

Hi Amber,
if you typed in a unique file name at the time you created the macro, it will apply this file name every time. I would try re-creating the macro one more time WITHOUT specifying a unique file name, then leave the dialog boxes on so that you can provide the file name to be used at the time the macro is running. That should do the trick for you... Let me know if this works and I'll update my original blog post to reflect that! thanks!!

Ok I got the action to work but now it just keeps replacing the last picture that I saved with the new one. I think the problem is with the file name. Is there a way to get around renaming every picture with a new file name?

Hi, I'm some what new to PhotoShop so sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm just trying to create a simple action of saving my picture. When I'm done editing a picture I just want to be able to create an action that will save it in the folder I'm working in. But it's not working. Is this even possible or do I have to go in every time to save as, then pick the file name, then choose the qualitly in the jpeg options? It would be so nice if I could just have that as one action. Can you please help me and tell me how you save your pictures to your computer?
Thanks for the help!

thanks for all the info...I will definitely be looking out for the future shadows tips...I spend A LOT of time on shadows & still not sure if I'm doing it right! Matter of personal preference I guess, but I'd love a "standard" (which I could possibly google, but I just now thought of it)! ha... thanks again!
